“What…changed him?” Pippa glances towards the door, anxious, clearly weighing the consequences. “Look, Ariel,” she whispers, “no one knows this, so please don’t tell, but if you’re to be his Luna you should know, and…you’re going to figure it out sooner or later.” I nod eagerly, my wolf standing up straight, her whole body still as she waits. “Gabriel…about five years ago he pledged himself to the God of Darkness,” Pippa whispers, looking into my eyes, her own shining. “In exchange for the power to protect this palace, and all the people in it, from the weapons and the magic of Moon Valley.”

He muttered to himself. We stared at each other, searching for comfort, for anything that will help ease the pain, but the depth of betrayal stopped us from attaining that. After what seems like forever, I pulled away from him, breaking out from the spell of his intense gaze. “I’m Fine Gabriel, you need to stop worrying about me.” At least he doesn’t know about the baby. Five steps away from him, his question stopped me. “When were you planning on telling me about the prophecy?” I turned around and faced him. “That you’re to release Bonnie and her mother or be drained till you die?”

“I always do.” Gabriel searched my face, maybe for doubt, maybe for regret. He found neither. “Just promise me one thing,” he said. I looked at him again. “Careful. Promises are leverage.” A faint smile tugged at his mouth. “Then consider it a request.” I waited. “Don’t disappear without telling me,” Gabriel said. “Not again.” Something in his voice—quiet, unguarded—cut deeper than any accusations ever had. I held his gaze. Then, slowly, she nodded. “For aria… I might not.”

She was cast aside by the husband who never loved her—for the woman carrying his child. What he doesn't know: Gabrielle is pregnant too, with the twins of the true mate she lost. No more begging. When the light faded, Elf Trixie saw that they were both freed from the trap of her Grass Spirit magic. Gobi Zalika moved towards Bishop Eloise again, intending to kill her. This time, Pawn Clara couldn't sit still; she couldn't watch him get killed by Gobi Zalika once more. She had to use her powers - the one thing she had lied to hide. She could no longer stick to it. She created a spirit charm in the air and threw it at Gobi Zalika, which froze her in place. It was all she could do for Bishop Eloise in this situation.

He took the last sip from his glass. "Don't get your hopes up, servant. You'll only be my fake fiancée through a legally binding contract you'll sign as part of the deal," he stated with a firm and persuasive tone, his eyes searching hers intently. "As a reward, every now and then, I'll offer you a generous sum of money that you can use as you see fit."

My mom, Bianca, and I were talking when suddenly my dad called Gio and I to his office, Bianca stayed with my mom in the living room, most likely talking about her pregnancy since Gio knocked her up. Gio walk in the office, and I follow him inside. I close the door behind me then sit next to Gio, in front of our dad. "Gabrielle, there's something we need to tell you," my dad starts.I feel my heart beating so fast, and I don't know why, but I feel like this was going to be a bad news. "I made a promise with my good friend, while we were in college," My dad starts. "We promised each other that our children would get married."

I’m certainly not proposing you this way or this soon despite how much I want to (just so you know, I’m dead serious about proposing to you someday, just not today) This is a promise ring (I believe that’s what they call these days) I give you this ring to say that I’m so in love with you and that I promise to make you the happiest person in the world. I know you don’t love me yet but that’s okay. You said you trust me with your life and I promise that I’ll do anything to keep that trust. I just hope you don’t lose faith in me, ever. I’ve made a lot of promises to you over the years since our childhood. I’ve kept every one of them and I intend to keep them all – new and old.

From the look in her eyes, you could tell she had to be around Azz’s age. “OK! WHO BROKE-!?” She suddenly noticed me and her eyes widened, “it?” Azz introduced, “Fayda, this is Gabe. He is a fallen angel. Gabriel came here not long after you left.” I started to panic a little. Was she talking about the shelf that I broke? Now that I think about it.... How did I break the shelf like that? She suddenly got this calculating look as she stared at me, “Never mind.” The healer then came towards me, “Jeez, Azz, can’t you send me a letter about these things…”

I wiped at my eyes quickly, annoyed at myself for reacting like that. “I just…” I hesitated, then let it out anyway. “I just want to go home. I wish everything was back as it was before they came and destroyed our lives.” I said, my voice shaking as I forced myself not to cry for the hundredth time today. There was silence on the other end before Gabriel spoke again, softer this time. “It won’t be long,” he said. “I promise.” I closed my eyes briefly. “Okay.” I said, even though I knew it won't be as soon as I wanted.
