Genesis struggled to speak as Lana's arms were a little too tight around her. “Sorry.” Lana released her and they both laughed. They went upstairs to see Elon together and the kid was more than happy to see Lana again. He even made Genesis join them to play monopoly. That evening was eventful and laughter filled. In fact, it was the most she had laughed in a while and she felt really content with where her life was. She was more than grateful. And as she watched Elon and Lana laugh, she smiled to herself. Things were really falling into place.

Zara cringes. “Sorry Zara, I’ll try and keep the bad jokes to a minimum,” I say apologetically. “It’s not so bad. You should share your bad jokes with the rest of the world. Let people see just how normal their Alpha is,” she teases. “Great idea, they can add a terrible sense of humour to the list of reasons why I’m not fit to be Alpha,” I say sarcastically. “If humour was a requirement to become an Alpha I’m pretty sure most Alphas would lose their candidacy. You’ve met these guys, what a bunch of fuddy-duddies,” she says rolling her eyes.

I knew deep down that this wasn’t at all funny, yet I laughed, maybe it was everything that has happened to me. “Why do you find this funny,” he continued, trying to hide a small smile. “I… I … I don’t find it funny Killian not at all, I’m simply laughing at the situation,” “You are a very odd one Genesis,” “So you’ve said Killian, are you going to hand me over to the king now, I heard he has a habit of collecting rare animals,” I teased.

I said to him, clarifying their obvious differences. Just because he has the same name as the Alpha King doesn’t mean he should impersonate that old mean wolf. Alpha King Reagan is unreasonable and very ruthless; he might kill him if he learned that someone is pretending to be him. It wasn't long after I said my statement that I found out that Reagan was laughing. What's so funny? His cheeks were a bright shade of red, and his voice quivered every time he tried to talk. There were people around, too, and somehow, I seemed to pique their interest. I folded my hands across my chest and closed the door behind me, already tired. "I look like an abomination!" And not forget his awkwardness around girls" the sarcasm was dripping from her mouth. But that changed my mood. And we both started chuckling, "He's not that bad!" I exclaimed. Right? His face was a mask of deadpan disbelief that I physically cringed, pulling my shoulders up to my ears. "Wow. Okay. Next." I whispered, rubbing my forehead. "Because he was outstanding in his field.” I finished anyway, a wide, entirely fake smile plastered on my face. Aaron leaned his hip against the counter, crossing his arms over his chest. "I prefer aggressive takeovers. Not agriculture. Try again." I swallowed a laugh. The fact that he was actually engaging now with my terrible humor was a miracle in itself. "Okay, fine. What do you call a fake noodle?"

Genna nodded as she chewed on some chips. Emma sipped from her glass of juice and she dropped the glass. "He isn't a CEO though". Genna sarcastically stated, and Emma rolled her eyes at Genna, and they both laughed. They got into a playing mood, and they started talking about random things, and as they talked, they laughed having a good time.
