I dropped into my chair, set the plate beside the keyboard, and cracked my knuckles. “All right, Ghost.” My fingers danced across the keys. “Where are you?” A dozen command windows sprang to life. Lines of code streamed down the screens faster than most people could read them. Numbers, IP addresses, encrypted tunnels, relay nodes… Beautiful. Most people looked at this and saw gibberish. I saw fingerprints. Ghost was good. Better than good. They managed to stay invisible while making half the underground think they knew where they was. That alone was impressive.

I am going to torture and kill this piece of shit. Once we arrive at the abandoned factory, Ghost gets off his bike to open the back of the van to be kicked on the head. I can’t help but laugh as Rover jumps out of the van and starts running naked. I watch with my arms crossed as Ghost curses, removing his helmet and running after Rover. If he weren’t going to die today, he would’ve just signed his mortuary needs. Kicking Ghost is something no one has ever stayed alive to tell the tale. “You could stop fucking laughing and help me carry this piece of shit inside,” he says as he walks past me with Rover over his shoulder with his ass exposed to the world to see.

His words ignite something primal in me, and I clench around him instinctively, drawing a guttural moan from his lips. The sound is intoxicating, pushing me even closer to the edge.

I stood frozen as a woman with silver eyes appeared before me, her expression filled with sorrow in them. "You must remember, Rachael." The ground cracked beneath us as she spoke up. I saw Shadows slithered through the flames, twisting into monstrous forms. "The Ghost Wolf was never meant to be controlled." She added. I opened my mouth to speak, but the vision shattered— ***end of vision***

My parents' thoughts were audible to me while they gave their next orders. The wolves advanced toward the pack house as a group, driving the rogues away from our direction. "Willow is awake," Ghost whispered, but I sensed he was hiding something significant from me. Before I could ask what, a group of rogues tackled us to the ground and grabbed Ghost's hind leg. Ghosts wailed in agony as we struggled to fight them off. With some effort, he was able to free his leg and get to his feet again. Four of them stood in the way of reaching Sarah.

His eyes were distant, and then he muttered, "We're both guilty, aren't we? Let's go be with her now." He filled the bathtub with water and, with grim determination, lowered Alice into it. As long as I kept touching Kujo, the bright glow didn’t hide the crawler’s outline. “Spoken like the filthy shit you are.” I hit it straight with the beam and heard it hiss again. “Gonna kill you!” “You can’t, roach. You’re fucking dead.” It kept retreating away from the light, so I kept walking down the tunnel, pushing him further away from the door to its cave.

Damon asked. Tyler thought for a moment. “Hugo, help Raven,” Tyler said suddenly. Cael and Damon looked toward Hugo and Raven. Hugo quickly grabbed Raven to prevent her from being attacked by the ghost. The ghost selectively avoids every attack of Raven’s Katana. But Raven chases the ghost with Hugo’s help. ‘Now, Kyra.’ Tyler thought. The ghost was being watched by Kyra. Kyra got the pattern of its movements because of Tyler. Kyra raised her hand, and she opened the portal.

“Already there.” Sparks arced from the west tower as his team cut their own lines; if the enemy wanted to chew on our nerves, they’d get dead cables and a shock for dessert. Ghost’s people used grapnels to haul up the chassis of a heavier drone, ripping its belly open and feeding it grenades until it coughed smoke. “Eyes on ground,” Ghost said. “They’re not just machines.”
