And we were hoping Syne would indeed appear when we burned thousands of butterflies after catching them in the field. They were beautiful, but it would be more beautiful if Syne appeared.

I look over my shoulder to see a huge black van, and when the door opens, there are screens all, chairs, keyboards, over tables, and everything Thorn will need to interrupt the cameras. “Ghost, you’re his shadow; wherever he goes, you go,” Wyatt says, and Ghost nods. I rest one hand on his shoulder, and he turns his head to see me and gives me a small nod. “You’re with me,” Wyatt tells Dash, and he nods, giving him a thumbs up.

Dante muttered beside me, already pulling out his phone. The blue glow of the screen lit up his face as he dialed rapidly, stepping aside and barking into the phone. "What the fuck is going on? Kill that signal now. Now!" But no matter how many calls he made, the masked man didn't vanish. He only flickered on the screen every now and then. "My name..." the man announced. "Is Ghost." "And I mean no harm…if you just listen." I frowned, confused. But for some reason, I still listened. There was some kind of mystery around this "Ghost" that instantly made me eager to hear what he had to say.

The dinner plate was overturned and crashed onto the floor with a piercing noise. Patrick’s hands trembled uncontrollably, his phone nearly slipping from his grasp. He roared in fury, "What the hell are you talking about? What rental apartment? Are you messing with me? Do you have a death wish?"

He winced and that awakened the drowsy Alpha. "Callum". He murmured looking at him. Callum saw him trying to smile. But fainted again... ********* Tabby

Turned his head just enough to look at me from the side. And he smiled. “I finally found the one thing the great Ghost Knife fears,” he whispered, like it was a secret gift. “Tell me who sent you.” I stayed silent. Jaw locked. Arms trembling. “One last chance,” he growled. Still nothing. The next second, my face plunged into the freezing water. The shock hit me like a bullet. I kicked, twisted, tried to scream, but bubbles were the only answer. My lungs begged. My mind screamed. Then he yanked me up. My coughs came out in wet sobs.

He looked utterly drained. "Mr. Gulley! Are you alright?" Spotting Cassian, Darren nodded, saying glumly, "I didn't manage to catch up to that bastard." Considering the fact that Phantom was a skilled expert, Cassian would've been shocked if Darren had successfully caught up to him. Darren's eyes were red as he snarled through clenched teeth, "That damned bastard! He killed so many of our villagers just to test his necromancy. He's a heartless monster! I'm going to kill him to avenge Roy and the others."
