The Mafia's Ghost Bride

The Mafia's Ghost Bride

She reacted to his fiery kiss with equal fervour as he bit her lips, prying his tongue into her mouth. It was a strange phenomenon. Ghosts could not be touched or seen by normal people. But the custom of a ghost marriage binds a couple in such a way, that they can invoke passions in each other as well. Chaerin felt desire, sexual attraction and felt every touch of Joonjae's.

The Surgeon's Ghost

The Surgeon's Ghost

"Even if I can't forget him, it's only because I can't forget how he abandoned me when I was at my lowest, most desperate point. If I don't make him pay with my own hands, I'll never have peace. "I brought you here because I thought he might be hiding out. I need to find him so he can do your surgery." Once Nicky was sure there was no love left in her heart for me, he relaxed. He pulled her into a tender embrace. "I'm sorry. I misunderstood." They left that dusty, forgotten place—but not before smashing our wedding photo to pieces and burning it. The flames consumed the picture, and it felt like they were consuming my soul along with it. Days passed. Adeline still hadn't heard from me.

Dawlya’s Dragon

“Because if it fails…” “Everyone loses,” Puc finished. He turned back to his team. “Final sweep.” The ghosts moved faster now, diving into Veil-lanes, skimming the edges of reality, testing every approach vector. One ghost paused, head tilting. “Something’s wrong,” it said. Althea’s eyes snapped open. “What kind of wrong?” “Not hostile,” the ghost replied. “Just… crowded.” Puc frowned. “Explain.” “Veil traffic,” the ghost said. “Farther out. Small groups. Seven at a time.”

Ghost In Red

He muttered and smiled a sad one before walking out of the room; then, I went close to my body to look at it intently. "I felt his touch. I felt my father's hand holding mine!" I let out when I noticed the four ghosts who just passed through the wall on my right. They must have seen my father walking into my room. One of my new ghost friends is Ericka, who got here three weeks ago because of a motorbike accident, and Lucinda, a middle-aged woman who got a heart attack a month ago. "Really?" Clinton asked in surprise and examined my physical body closely, and Dylan tried to touch my left barefoot.

Mafia Men VI - Alessandro's Games

Mafia Men VI - Alessandro's Games

It was that kind of feeling where I knew something big was about to happen, and I was caught between wanting to run toward it and bolt the other way. Every nerve in me was on edge, my brain working overtime trying to play it cool, even though all I wanted to do was roll my eyes at how ridiculous it was. Ghost’s text flashed across my screen: “Send me your address.” I had sent it to him hours ago, and he responded with his usual cryptic edge, warning that he wouldn’t tell me when he’d show up or give any other details. It was all part of his game—keeping me on edge, making sure I never felt too comfortable.

My Ghost Soulmate

My Ghost Soulmate

Even if she did, she'd blame it on the wind. "Ghost?" Sharon was becoming concerned, "I thought you don't believe in such things?" "Really? Oh, em." Geneva cleared her throat and spoke confidently, "that's true, I am not scared by flimsy things such as ghooosts!" The last word Sharon heard was the word 'ghosts' being screamed into her eardrums before she heard nothing else. The phone had fallen and disassembled and the call, disconnected.

She spoke elegantly and winked at her sister. All the dreams you had went to waste, but I will make sure Amanda accomplish them for you. Angela beamed ‘don’t look at me like that,’ Angela spoke to her picture with love “Sis do you like him?” Maria asked, Angela recalled her words ‘I do,’ she replied shyly. Well, I did then but now all I feel is rebuff for him “Good, because tomorrow you two will be meeting, at the guest rooms near the corner, and yes guys will have s**.” She joked as she took off the mug from Angela’s hand

ONCE A BETA, NOW A MAFIA

ONCE A BETA, NOW A MAFIA

“At least allow me to breathe,“ She clenched out, repeatedly jamming her fist into his chest. “As you wish, princess,“ His hold loosened and for the first time since he snagged her up, she got to see his eyes. A pair of bluish-grey eyes were boring holes in her. For a second, she got lost in them. She's never been big on staring into people's eyes but out of the few she'd stared at, these bluish-grey eyes stand out the most. She'd never seen eyes with so much depth and a frightening dose of sadness, mixed with a horror vibe that seizes your breath. Who is this guy? Ghost forced himself to break eye contact. She was staring too deeply like she could see his soul. He felt vulnerable to her st

I lean over and give him a peck on the cheek, careful not to put any weight onto his mending bones. “Milo, I know the doctors want to convince us otherwise, but I think Yee Naaldlooshii really pulled our spirits out of our bodies. Or… me, at least. Maybe he tried to do it to you too, but I kind of think you just got caught into… whatever he used to pull me in.” “Like… a portal to nowhere… kinda?” “Kinda?” I think about it. “That makes the most sense to me.” Milo is silent for a long moment. “Ghost thinks I got sucked in because you got sucked in. Since our spirits are fated to be together. He doesn’t remember anything after I started to feel like I was falling.”

I thought this was a great book. It was interesting to read the perspectives of other characters, allowing us to see what they knew and when. My only complaint is a seemingly awkward ending. Does anyone know if the author is ok?

31 Chapters 07/13/23 Yesssss Sugar Mama, you've got my attention. Love a baddie, strong female with a saucy attitude. I was so tired of these weak little damsels who need big Zaddy Alpha to save them. I was horny throughout FL scenes. Thank you for that.

The Search for the Crystal Key (Book 2 of Dark Escape Duo)

She wasn’t sure if she should be happy or unhappy about it. Not up to facing whatever it was, she closed her eyes and prayed it would go away while Mitch continued with his recapitulation of the events leading up to his meeting and falling in love with Alana. He rambled on, completely unaware that his audience was only half listening. She finally let her eyes comb the room for the intruder. It was only a matter of seconds before she spotted him. The old ghost was back. She wasn’t sure if ghosts were telepathic, but she sent him a message to leave anyway. Whether he heard her thoughts or simply felt it was time to go, she wasn’t certain. Whatever the case, she gave a sigh of relief as she wat
