The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase

The Tycoon’s Temptress - Red Flower’s Chase

“About the tomb. Gilgamesh’s tomb.” “So, in The Epic of Gilgamesh—since it’s one of the oldest known pieces of literature in the world, originating from ancient Mesopotamia… our beautiful homeland,” Raffaele said, leaning back slightly, watching me. This was one of my favorite subjects. It never got boring. “Gilgamesh, king of Uruk, is described as part god, part man…” I raised an eyebrow and smirked. “So where are you going with this, Raffaele?”

The Final Cut

The Final Cut

“This is a bit left field.” “Actually it’s not, in fact it’s totally pertinent to our film.” “Okay, this I’ve got to hear.” “One of the oldest written stories in existence is Inanna’s Journey to Hell, it’s even older than the Epic of Gilgamesh. It tells how Inanna, a fertility goddess, travels into the afterlife . She descends through all seven levels of Hell, and then her sister Ereshkigal, an ancient, sex mad crone who rules the underworld, captures and kills her. Because she’s a goddess she comes back to life and her lover, the shepherd king Dumuzi, sets her free. It’s like the forerunner to lots of later myths about rescues from the underworld such as Orpheus and Eurydice, Demeter and Pe

The Book of Deceive

The Book of Deceive

Other Sumir poems relate Gimir's defeat of the ogre Huwawa and the Bull of Heaven and a fifth, poorly preserved one apparently describes his death and funeral. In later Bavin times, these stories began to be woven into a connected narrative. The standard Akkadian Epic of Gimir was composed by a scribe named Sîn-lēqi-unninni, probably during the Middle Bavin Period (c. 1600 – c. 1155 SA), based on much older source material. In the epic, Gimir is a demigod of superhuman strength who befriends the wild-man Enkin. Together, they go on adventures, defeating Humbaba (the East Semitic name for Huwawa) and the Bull of Heaven, who, in the epic, is sent to attack them by Ishtar (the East Semitic equi

EPIC

EPIC

I glanced up and caught his reflection in the window. And everything disappeared. The world that had buzzed below, the beautiful scene, the excitement I had to see my friend, his sister, all of it evaporated and all that existed in its place was a pale, hollow shell of myself. I looked at him directly. Our gazes smashed together, and my legs nearly fell out from under me. "Noah," I rasped. It was a miracle that I managed to find enough voice to say that much. And there was so much more that had to be said. So much more that I hadn't prepared for. Which was ridiculous since the last time I'd talked to him was when he came for my grandfather's funeral and it didn't feel this way.

Rebirth Of The Luna Queen

Rebirth Of The Luna Queen

Another tale was when when Gilgamesh (a God) jilted a potential lover because she had turned her previous mate into a wolf. This book had a different tale entirely to tell, it was of how a lycan himself was one of the gods back then and how he had created his kind to be. It also spoke about the whole mating process, there was no denying when he'd gotten to their pages that he had gotten to his favorite part of the book. The chair sank with his weight and the back creaked as he leaned his back into it. -time to get back to reading- He remained that way over the course of multiple hours and only lifted his head when he remembered he had to eat dinner.

How Do I Seduce My Married Bodyguard?

How Do I Seduce My Married Bodyguard?

“Wait until we’re assigned Epic of Gilgamesh.” “Gilga-what?” I stared at him, because there couldn’t be anything worse than Macbeth. Right? I hoped. Macbeth was almost worse than Moby Dick, and I hadn’t thought that was possible. If it got worse, I wasn’t sure I would survive the assignment without beating my head against the wall.

An Odyssey

An Odyssey

He fell down freeing him. Bloody nose swung the dagger and I knew if I didn’t push Ed away it would be too late. So, I pushed him away and he fell down losing his balance. A painful gasp escaped my throat. I looked at my left arm. There was a big cut and blood flowed out of it. I held my arm. “Lilly!” he got up. His eyes looked at my wound and then searched my eyes. “Bastard!” he jabbed the guy after holding his hand which was gripping the dagger. Once the dagger fell from his hold Ed started punching him in his face, repeatedly. Soon the guy wasn’t moving anymore. Ed did not stop.

MAD END'S DECEPTION

MAD END'S DECEPTION

GILDEON “How did you cross into this realm?” Gildeon asked as he settled onto a flat slab of rock across from Jeric. The shapeshifter tilted his head, lips peeling back into a crooked grin, his eyes wild with a manic gleam. “I don’t know.” A circle of fire burst to life at Jeric’s feet. With the faintest twitch of Gildeon’s fingers, the flames licked at his skin. Jeric hissed, chains rattling as he lunged forward against them, snarling.

The Alpha King's Princess

The Alpha King's Princess

I saw someone up ahead, a tall familiar figure I was sure was Gilgamesh. “Armageddon needs back-up!” Gilgamesh turned sharply and started running towards me. “Where?” “That way,” I pointed back. “Quick! We were outnumbered.” Gilgamesh led the charge back the way I came as I stopped to catch my breath. I turned back and headed after them, but as soon as I stepped into the alleyway. Everything went black as if I had walked into a void. I tried to get out, but everywhere I turned, there was a wall that I couldn’t see the top of. I tried walking to the edge but there wasn’t an edge.

I almost can’t stand to read anymore with how Hedy is turning out. You start her off as a good strong warrior the immature part I get but now you’ve made her like a dumb spoiled princess. I don’t care who her mate is just make her strong again
