The group laughed, and he rolled his eyes, pushing off the railing. “Yeah, yeah, I’m coming,” he said, but his eyes lingered on Jane as he walked away. She was watching him, her lips slightly parted, and he felt that jolt again. Trouble, he thought. Big trouble.
