- THE NEXT DAY - GIANNA'S POV: I took a quick shower before drying my body with a towel and putting my dress on. Then I combed my long hair and let it fall my back before applying concealer under my eyes to hide my sorrowful face. When I was done, I left the bathroom then I saw Adriano standing by the closet door. "Good morning." I sheepishly smiled at him. "Good morning, babe." He smiled at me too before looking down at his feet. Babe?

She gave the nannies a small nod of thanks before turning back to her little ones. "Who aw you?" Gianna demanded, tiny hands on her hips as she faced the stranger before her. She stood a step away from Giovanni, chin tilted up, eyes unflinching. Not even the slightest trace of fear crossed her small face. Carly's eyes burned hot as she watched father and daughter. She caught the subtle movement of Giovanni's Adam's apple, bobbing once, twice, as if words had abandoned him. Then, slowly, he lowered himself onto one knee, bringing himself level with the little girl.

She took a deep breath, she thought she was probably hearing things. "Jason is so handsome, I wish I could have one night with him," Gianna continued, putting her hand on her cheek, a dreamy look on her face. Gianna was a young girl, even younger than Rhea was, with a small pixie like body and a cute smile.

He urges her to leave the room by shooing her away with his hands and Stephanie walks out of the room. Staring at herself in the mirror on her wardrobe, Lisa pouts; she makes a sad face and thrust out her lower lip like a baby. "Hey what's wrong?" Gianna walks up to her and slides her hands on Lisa's waist and rubs her open back dress. "I'm pretty Gianna" Lisa brittle voice; still staring at herself with awe. Gianna and Sofia turned to Lisa and laughed. "Ma, che sei grullo?" Gianna beats her back asking her if she was crazy. "Dio, I thought something was wrong!" Gianna held her chest and sighed.

“Do you mind if I get a quick selfie?” “Of course, of course!” Giovanni said, his smile wide and playful as he pulled her in for the picture. The woman practically melted, and I could almost hear her heart racing. I had never seen a man so effortlessly flip a room’s energy on its head. It was chaotic, but it was also magnetic. People were scrambling for selfies, asking for shout-outs, and bombarding him with questions. Giovanni was in his element, laughing and posing like the world was his stage. “Oh, Giovanni, you were so funny in that vlog where you got lost in Greece and had to ride a donkey to the hotel,” a woman gushed. “That was hilarious.”

She ended on a sad note, looking like she was about to cry. “I think I love your friends,” Gianna said as she threw back another shot of vodka, I think it was her fifteenth one. I choked on my laughter and then tried to pull her down when she asked one of the strippers to spank her. “Oh no, we don’t want that.” Summer said as she helped me to handle Ami and we forced her to sit down.

133 Matteo’s POV I leaned against the armrest of the couch in our hotel room, flipping through my phone without really paying attention to the screen. Gianna was at the desk, typing away on her laptop like the day hadn’t been a marathon of negotiations and mental gymnastics. I didn’t know how she did it. Most people would be sprawled out on the bed, face-planted into a pillow, or binge-watching a mindless show after the day we’d had. But Gianna? She was a machine.
