It was old, the frame tarnished silver worked into a pattern of vines, the glass itself dark, like looking into a pool of standing water rather than a mirror. She she's all sorts of human artifacts like rings, jewelries, hats, swords, books and skulls. She gazes in admiration as she gets attracted by shiny items coming straight at her direction. Out of curiosity she touches the frame slowly as it feels weird on her tiny hands. She then flies in front of the mirror and she sees someone who looks exactly like her. She walked forward and backwards stretching her hands, legs and face. She plays and makes funny faces. She stares at the mirror for a minute and says,

"You're gender neutral. That's not the reason I summoned you. It's not even vaguely related." The mirror sighed, "Let me guess. It's about Snow being the fairest maiden in all the land." "It's about your slight malfunction the last time," I said through gritted teeth. "I need another reading. You were probably off because I hadn't used you in a long time." "You make it sound like I'm a broken watch. I'm never off." I waved it away even though I knew it was true. The mirror was never off. It was created to be perfectly accurate but there was no other logical explanation as to why it had said Snow was the fairest maiden. No fucking explanation! There had to have been a glitch somewhere.

She is so happy to see them again that she does not think twice and steps over the frame and straight through the ripple in the glass. The chairs and wardrobe pushed aside to accommodate its thick gilded frame; a large mirror had been propped against the bedroom wall. Ancient symbols scrawled over its reflective surface, it hummed with the lines of a spell that was being spoken in a long dead tongue. The glass beginning to reverberate from the collective force of the enchantment, it shuddered violently in the confines of its wooden support for some time. A faint ringing eventually heard emerging from the mirror. It was abruptly followed by the harsh pang of cracks forming across its surface.

Rori stepped toward it tentatively and as the door popped open, two small flits floated free. Their beckoning whispers were too sweet for Rori to ignore, and the slight balls of natural fire led her back into the room they had emerged from. As the curious brunette strolled over the threshold, the door slammed shut behind her, Rori jumped, but as the flits crowded close to one another to become one larger orb their luminescent glow lit up enough of the chamber that Rori could look around. Most of the room's contents read to be covered by long white sheets and as the large flit moved toward a large vertically rectangle shape, the sheet seemed to fall down on its own to reveal a massive mirror.

The Mirror Room wasn’t built for comfort. It was made to fracture reality, to dismantle the sense of self. Floor to ceiling, the room was encased in flawless, polished glass. Every breath, every blink, every heartbeat reflected a thousand times over. There were no shadows here, just distortions—haunting, endless versions of whoever dared to step inside.
