THE ROGUE, THE ALPHA AND ME
Above the ballroom, far beyond sight, suspended between the veils of this world and the next, a figure floated silently—maybe man or woman, cloaked in shadows and moonlight.
Eyes like mirrored glass observed the dance, the rogue Alpha’s jealousy, and the web tightening around Elaina.
A soft, amused chuckle escaped its lips.
“So the pieces are moving again,” the figure whispered, voice echoing like wind through leaves. “How…delicious.”
The figure raised a hand, tracing a glowing sigil in the air with a fingertip. Symbols sparked to life, ancient and shifting.
“She doesn’t remember yet. But she will.”
Its form shimmered, unraveling into wind and stardust.
