HIDDEN EDGES
I say, chuckling but really resonating with Pip.
Suddenly, it flies away and lands on the ground in front of the tree and I frown.
“You don’t like it?” I say, walking slowly and putting my finger out for her to come back, “Okay fine, we’ll let you choose your own name.”
As I go closer, it moves back, and I frown, confused. Before I could say anything more, its wings starts to glow and grow and my eyes widen as I take a step back in caution. It starts to flap its wings really fast and the wind around it picks up. The light becomes even brighter as the speed increases, so bright that I have to look away to avoid hurting my eyes and, suddenly, the light goes off and everywhere’s still and quiet
