voices spoke from behind the rocks. Sweat formed on Lily's forehead, and her heart started beating irregularly. Before she could react and hide from the mysterious voices, two goblins jumped in her direction. They were hideously ugly, with broad noses, flat faces, pointed ears, and wide mouths filled with small but sharp fangs. Their skin ranged from deep red to shades of orange and yellow, with members of the same tribe sharing similar skin colors. The two goblins salivated excessively. "D- Delicious meat, stop! We just want to be friends with you," one of the goblins with a shorter height said, attempting to negotiate.

They had a celebration of the coming of age, as was customary amongst goblins when they reached a certain age. All the goblins were present, including the newly mated ones. They had barely started the celebration when a loud noise rent the air sending fear through everyone. No one had time to run before large creatures on all fours bounded out of the forest and turned their celebration into a feast of death. No one was alive by the time these creatures finished with the goblins. It was only one goblin who, not because of luck, but because the creatures deliberately left him to tell some other goblins who were still on their way what happened.
