It smelled like incense, the aroma rich and complex, with notes of sandalwood and myrrh. My eyes slowly fell on her tattooed arms, my curiosity piqued. The tattoos weren't the usual ones, at least not a pattern I knew, consisting mostly of letters and Cyrillic-like characters that seemed to dance across her skin. I found myself drawn to the tattoos, wondering what story they told and what secrets they held. My question was, why so many? Almost seventy percent of her upper body was covered in it. My body started to shine with a gentle, silvery glow, and I could feel my power coming back. I stood up straight, moving away from Xander's help, and focused on Ryder.
