He added as he wiped the blood from her lips. She smiled faintly, “I’d rather see and experience that than see the sorrow in your eyes.” She explained. He smiled merrily. “I wish I could also see your memories.” He hoped. That moment the words left his mouth, a blinding light followed by a blaring thunder boomed in the sky. Both of them had a startled look at each other's eyes and began laughing. "Be careful what you wish for. It might anger the gods, Alpha." She said playfully.

I asked him annoyed of the way he talks in code. "Sacrifices are done with the help of witch hybrids. They're not just us simply killing you, they involve spells and binding to make sure the goddess truly receives your soul. A final wish is one of those bindings...I cannot refuse a wish which hasn't been unwounded and locked. I have no choice but to mark you..." He said as his eyes threw daggers at me. "Bullshit! Of course you can. Just fucking don't sink your teeth in me" I said but Paenoe shook his head.

She smiled an apologetic smile and shook her head. "It is all true, my lady," Kesar said. "Here is the central power of the Meru gods. The gods have inspired a number of births in our Holy Land. Their children you have just met are our protectors. The King and Queens have placed their hope on all of them, but the Prophecy says that the last one shall be sent by the Great Lord himself. He or she will be our savior." "And you think it's me?" "You have heard the Hora's prediction," she said. "We need your help."

It’s my last link to Aiden. The paramedics tell me to hold on a little longer and I hear one of the nurses snap at Lilith telling her that now is not the time for this behavior. That’s the last thing I heard before my world went black.

Dorian uttered blandly, chuckling slightly when she jumped as the sound of his voice. Elika looked back at Hades and Darkous, the last ounce of hope she held onto slowly fading; dissipating along with her dreams of returning home. Who was the princess kidding? She would never go home, never see the sun; never witness her brothers happiness or the way they made her feel wanted. She was a prisoner, trapped and alone; never to leave or do anything that had she dreamt of. Her immortal existence would never be her own, never be what she wanted. The dark lord would keep as a pet, torment and harm her every chance he got. She turned away from him, fresh tears beginning to slide down her cheeks as s

Shining through with a shocking blue I gape at the vertical shape of its irises. As soot begins to flow from the destruction and I nod at the beast as my heart slows in my chest. With a growl large, webbed wings that crash through the walls expand on its back. I fall facedown onto the floor feeling the earth move as its humongous claws leave my vision. A vortex of wind blow through the hall at the beat of its wings as the world goes silent. As my heart takes its last beat I recall all that has come to be in this life. With my final breath I heave one last wish into the world. Forgive me.

He pulled it out, noting the lack of a caller ID, but answered it anyway. A calm, chillingly familiar voice spoke into his ear. "You've disappointed me, Damien." Damien remained entirely silent, his jaw clenched. "You have one final opportunity," Victor continued, his tone conversational yet lethal. "Bring the girl to me before sunrise." "And if I don't?" "You already know the answer to that." The line went completely dead. Damien slipped the phone back into his pocket. "That was your boss," she stated.

Zev had long passed… maybe a minute or two, but it was undoubtedly that he died. “Hmm… I said it’s fine,” Layla muttered as she held back her tears. She had shed so many liters of tears for Zev since who knew when. But doing it once again for the last time shouldn’t hurt. “You see, some beings were granted special talents. It’s not something that could be compared to any gods but enough to save those who are important to them. So, why don’t you close your eyes for a moment and pray. Maybe the deities from above would listen to your prayer and grant you one wish,” Layla said as she started to let go of her tears.

"And if your brothers are no longer genies, they can't be demura either." Laeddin stood. "That's not a bad idea, but I don't know - " There was Gatsby's other idea. "Can I wish your brothers' lamps back? Undestroy them?" Laeddin shook his head. "That sounds like a great idea, but it wouldn't work." "Why not? All I'd have to do is say I wish - " Laeddin placed a hand over my mouth. "Stop." I pulled his hand away. "You have to be careful with your wishes. If you wished that, time could reverse, or volcanoes could erupt. The world could split. Everything could change." His eyes were frightened. "Don't ever make a wish unless you talk to me about it first. Okay."
