His presence alone fills me with a primal fear, as if I have stumbled upon a predator in the midst of its hunt. As he closes the distance between us, each step knowing and resolute, my body freezes in place. The fear that courses through my veins paralyzes me, making me incapable of rational thought. Scar cries so hard that her voice becomes hoarse, only to freeze in shock when she watched a food land brutally on Sebastian’s hand holding the bat. “Stop It!” Scar bursts into a frantic shout, “I’ll kill you! I’ll fucking kill you!” The driver laughs at her: “Kill us? Is death the worst threat you can throw, little girl? Is that what you fear the most? There are much more you should be afraid of.” Scar shakes her head, sliding down against the door as desperation grabs her. Her whole world filled with the sound of punches, kicks, and the suppressed groan of the man who is keeping up a safe little fortress for her.

The couch dipped as Logan sat, and I joined him, an arm’s length away. Our selection, a scary movie, was Logan’s idea—a genre I confessed to having a soft spot for, despite my nerves tonight. The opening credits rolled, and the lights of the living room dimmed, leaving only the flicker of the TV screen to cut through the darkness. The eerie music soon crept up the walls, and the first jumpscare sent a jolt through my body. My hands flew to my face, shielding my eyes. I could hear Logan’s chuckle next to me, a sound that should’ve been comforting but instead was a reminder of the dangerous game I was playing.

Let’s watch a horror film!” My eyes narrowed at her. “You like scary movies?” She grinned and nodded proudly at me. “Duh? Who doesn’t like scary films?” “W-well…” I shrugged and cleared my throat as I continued browsing on a random website. I cringe as gory film posters greeted my eyes after I clicked on the horror genre. Juno scooted closer to me, watching my moves like a curious cat. I glared at her before pushing the laptop back to her lap.

When the scene is getting hotter, Shaina pick up the remote and change the movie to another in haste. She turn to Samael and yet his expression remain the same which make Shaina wonder if he's really watching the movie. It was a scary movie which Shaina isn't a fan of, few minutes until the movie, she already close the space on the sofa and could barely stop herself from holding him. As the witch in the movie dip her long black nails into the eyes of one of the characters and pluck out his eyeballs, Shaina shrieks and grab unto Samael burying her face.

I walked to the door to see that person, I really wanted to know who is that person. When I am about slid my head off the door "Nooooooo!" Ciara loudly screamed making me stops for a moment and swiftly turned myself to her fishing her arms at my direction with her eyes and mouth widely open and agape like she just saw a ghost or more like trying to warn me about something bad that I am about to do or encounter. The figure passed us with a ghostly grace, clearly enjoying the fear it evoked. I felt a cold shiver sweep through me, and goosebumps pricked my skin, a familiar sensation reminiscent of the unsettling feeling I got before summoning a storm.
