, the time when almost all of the staff are for sure already home. I returned the books I borrowed in their respective areas before I bolted out of the library to go to the principal’s office. I noticed that there are no students and teaching staff walking on the corridor anymore. When I reached the principal’s office, I wandered the whole area first before knocking on the door. “Come in! The door’s open.” A smirk played on my lips when I heard his voice. Damn, his deep voice is already enough to make my pussy wet. I did not waste any opportunity and immediately opened the door, and his eyes widened a fraction when he saw me.

Chapter 6 I burned the letter before dawn. The flames curled around Dominic’s handwriting until every word turned to ash. I understood why he had asked me to do it. He did not want me dragged into further trouble. He did not want the children to grow up under another shadow. He did not want the village to twist his final choice into another story for people to gossip about. After Marcus and his friends died, the village changed overnight. No one came to our house demanding money anymore.

Then I moved away from the window, and turned to look at the books which all looked amusing. I reached out to the bottom of the shelf and removed a book from it. Then I dusted it off, and sneezed as the dust got into my nostrils. These books must have been here for a long time, and that means it’s all about history. Hmm! Things are about to get interesting. “Story of the Rainbow?” I scoffed and bit my lips, then opened the book. I flipped through the pages, awed by the writings and the pictures which were inside.

“Read! Read now, Daddy!” Before I could answer, Elena walked in, her presence filling the room like a quiet shadow. She carried one of Arya’s favorite books , a worn fairy tale collection with creased pages and a cover nearly falling apart from overuse. Elena didn’t look at me as she handed Arya the book. “Which story tonight?” “The dragon one!” Arya declared proudly. “The one where the princess saves the knight.” I chuckled. “Of course. The dragon one.”

Every time she went to this store, Dinda always looked so excited to choose books with animal stories or fantasy stories. In the store, Dinda started walking from shelf to shelf, looking for a book that caught her attention. Sebastian followed her, occasionally helping her reach the books neatly arranged on the high shelves. Finally, Dinda found a picture book of a little elephant going on an adventure to find a friend. Her eyes shone as she showed the book to Sebastian. “Daddy, I want this book! Look, there’s a cute little elephant!” she exclaimed, smiling broadly. Sebastian stroked Dinda’s head gently. “Of course, honey. Daddy bought it for you. You’ll definitely like the story about this

she added without waiting for a reply. "Aunty hand bag , go and read your books. I wonder how you will pass your exams"Her mother bawled. They talked for what seems like forever before Hussain entered his mother's room. He greeted her happily. "Hussain, why didn't you tell your wife about the journey" his mother scolded him.

She pointed with her finger and ran it down these books looking for a particular cover. “I have been saving this story for the right moment.” She directed her son to sit in the chair and when he sat down, she gave him the book. It looked ordinary to him, but it was obviously special to her. “This is the story of a young man who found a friend while on a journey. It is called ‘The Tale of Meru’.” He looked surprised because he was half expecting another history lesson. “Are you sure you have the right book?” “Yes, Yvayn, I am. I am not as boring as you would like to think I am.”

“So that way.” 16B was a much larger section than I expected. Still, it made sense since wolves were always passing down stories to the younger generations, true or not. “Found it,” I said. It took forty-five minutes but I found a book on the Moon Blessed that was not a kid's bedtime story. “When the Goddess becomes a man,” I read out the title. From the cover, I could tell it was still a fiction story for the most part. But it was better than nothing at all.
