Not Hot Topic gothic with chains and an Ouija board or Nightmare before Christmas or even skulls hanging from the ceiling. No, I wanted gothic architecture. All black walls with carved pillars, steeple style windows with the round cutouts at the top. An entire wall that was bookshelves filled with books of every type. Dark wood dressers and old antiques that made the whole room look like it was plucked from a castle miles and miles away.

A sense of unease permeated the air as if the very stones themselves whispered of long-lost secrets and ancient curses. Polished ebony coffins lined the walls, each adorned with intricate carvings depicting scenes of darkness and death. Gargoyles leered down from their perches high above, their stone eyes seemingly tracking every movement with an eerie intensity. Sinister whispers reverberated through the dark corridors, and the cold touch of fear lingered in the air, warning all who dared to intrude upon this unholy sanctuary.

Charlie chuckled and said seriously, “Wife, to tell you the truth, I don't even know what gothic style is.” Claire laughed and said, “Gothic style is mainly the architectural style of the German people from Western Europe. You must have heard of the Western gothic cathedrals, monasteries, castles, and so forth. There are those particularly tall, exaggerated buildings with cold stone architecture. Later, it was gradually transformed into gothic literature, gothic music, gothic dressing, and so on. I also only learned about this when I was studying design. So, it is actually normal for guys not to be aware of all this.”
