Do you have any idea what you’ve just done?” A low sound echoed through the Veil. Not a human sound. A growl, wet and hollow, like teeth grinding in an empty skull. Avery’s stomach dropped. “What was that?” The reaper raised their scythe, face grim. “That,” they said, “is what comes hunting lost souls.”

Heather stood up and moved closer to me in an attempt to pacify me. “Do not tell me to calm down, Heather. What a joke! Don’t they know who I am? I am Zeeb, the Reaper! Don’t they know I rule? I will drag them all to hell.” My eyes turned sharply to the useless guard. “Get the heck out of here before I send you to the Moon Goddess above.”

S voice sounded in the room as She turbed and looked at the person. "Are you here to mock me?" She glared at him coldly but the god of War only chuckled. "I always told you not to underestimate her, She might be something much more than we think" He laughed at Goddess of Light ignorance. "Isn't it just a lowly grim Reaper, What's so special about her!" She turned her palm into a fist and refused to give up.

She was exhausted and drenched in sweat. Once done with treating Nicholas’ wound, Lacey asked sympathetically, “What happened to you? How did you get infected with Reaperiosis?” Reaperiosis was a unique form of infection, and the term was coined by Lacey and her mentor. It was not an aggressive disease but an infected wound could prove fatal if not treated in time. Hence, it was named Reaperiosis after the grim reaper. This infection was almost non-existent in today’s society unless one contracted a bacterial infection that triggered the Reaperiosis.
