The groans of the injured echoed faintly against the marble walls. And in the middle of it, him. Nolan. Standing tall, chest heaving, blood soaking his shirt. His eyes were still sharp, searching the room as though he refused to let his guard down even now. He was tending to a few who are wounded. He was taking care of them, making sure that they were all right. He was helping out with lifting anything that was heavy. But I saw it. The way his left shoulder hung wrong. The deep gash along his collarbone, still dripping. He was doing his best not to show, but I knew that it hurts him. I had seen the way the rogue bit him.

"Mr. Grumpy Pants has been asking for you. He needed you in his office twenty minutes ago. He's in a fire-everyone-and-salt-the-earth mood." Shit. "How do I look?" "Like you need a restart button. Or a priest," Sarah whispered. "Go. Just go." I hobbled toward the massive mahogany doors of the corner office. I took a deep breath, tried to wipe a streak of mud off my cheek, and pushed the door open. Nathaniel Graham stood framed against the floor-to-ceiling windows, looking like a dark god of advertising. He was tall, perfectly tailored, and possessed a jawline that could probably cut through any hard material in the world. He didn't look up from the tablet in his hand.

“Is this about that former assistant of yours?” Tony's ears pricked when he heard that. He stood up from his seat and rushed towards the window where Graham was standing. “G, do you know something?” He asked eagerly. Graham Thompson was in the military and he had just become a lieutenant colonel at the age of twenty-seven. He was from a family of military officers so he rose in ranks quickly. But he was deserving since he worked very hard. Aaron frowned, he had asked Graham for help. But even with his military influence, he wasn’t able to find Tessa.

He gets into the car and Graham closes the door before getting on the driver’s seat. “To the office, Mr Statham?” “Psychologist!” He simply said and Graham understand. He starts the car and drives out of the compound. *****

A chocolate, petite, younger woman brought the bottle over to our table offering to pour. Attracted to her natural features, I couldn’t help but flirt with the gorgeous woman filling our glasses one by one. “So, what’s your name beautiful?” She shyly smiled before filling my glass and eagerly answering, “It’s Torian. You’re Edily Graham, right?” Delighted that she knew who I was I extended my hand to grab and kiss hers, “I am. How’d you know?”

Gala said, putting a hand on my shoulder “if anyone knows Alpha Nathan, it is me” “He doesn’t want me around anyway, and his mum isn’t making things any better” I said, turning to face her. Gala smiled and nodded at me to take a seat. I watched as she made me a cup of coffee before sitting in front of me. I wrapped my hands around the cup and looked down at the foam “I just don’t know what to do to please him”

Graham asked, unable to hide the curiosity on his face. "He is Mr. Knight, the owner of the Golden Era Enterprise. Since it was rumored that he was single, it wouldn't hurt if Alice tried to get his attention. In a few days Golden Era will have a company party. Noah will definitely be invited and will bring Alice with him. It's a good opportunity. Alice is so beautiful, she'll definitely win Mr. Knight's heart," Nancy said, explaining her plan in detail. Hearing this, Alice's face lit up. Graham's eyes widened. Now he understood the meaning of his wife's words.

Then I reached the last page. Under Strategic Family Alliance, there was a marriage proposal. I almost laughed. Of course. Men like Graham did not apologize with words. They apologized with contracts, leverage, and terms that still benefited them. Still, I agreed to meet him. When Graham entered my office, he looked nothing like the man in the hotel suite.
