So we needed to know more than we currently do about each other. Once we were both finished I leaned forward, my elbows on the table. "I know its only 9 o'clock but should we go get ready for the errands we need to run?" "There's more than one errand?" "Yep!" I beamed. I was going to show Knox all that Rutland has to offer. It may be cold, and maybe snowing, but Rutland at Christmas time was the best. Every store and building decorated to the nines. Plus we had a few days before Christmas to do some stuff.

In her case, before they begin their relationship she even once literally jumped on him naked while he was bathing and all the dunce did was blush and close his eyes before running out of the bath. Caressing his head with eyes full of frustration, she said, "I love you, but sometimes I really pity those girls." She chuckled at his clueless looks. She didn't mind giving way to a harem. But no way she would be one to help it. If they wished for him to understand their feelings, they should do like her and jump on him while he was sleeping. Christmas was a special day for everyone in this world. It's said that it's on that day that the goddess created life in the world. This was the day of the

“No, I don't believe in such things.” “The man we were supposed to meet for you couldn't come because his cat got into an accident, so tomorrow we will know if you meeting Mr stranger was fate or,” Clover took one bottle of alcohol from the bag, “Thanks, Goodnight,” she said and walked away to her room. I didn't know what tomorrow held, Zade and everyone we grew up with were going to be around for Christmas. How do I face the fact that Zade and I broke up? Then, I’ll crush all the humans. Ellie the Elephant: [Let me stomp on them too, Dad!] Chuck the Seal: [Christmas means lots of humans! If we riot at that time, we can kill so many of them!] Kingsley the Monkey: [Hose Guy deserves to die. The new girl probably sucks, too. I’ll throw a rock at her head to see how she likes it!] I blinked in shock and instinctively looked around. Suddenly, with a whoosh, a rock the size of an egg flew past my ear, missing by inches. My knees almost gave out.

His eyes were on me, like he was trying to gauge whether I meant it when I said everything was fine. I stood at the window, staring out as snow fell in languid flakes, casting a pale luminance over everything in sight. Christmas was looming, yet somehow, it didn't feel quite as festively joyful as it had other years.

The lights that lit up Chartres Street reminded me of the Christmas before we finally left here. ****************************************** On Christmas Eve, Isa and I went outside in search of a Christmas tree. I remember it having to be below freezing because there was a layer of frost on the sidewalk and grass. After about an hour of searching, we found ourselves a small shrubbery bush. I had only decided to get a tree because both Smitty and Mama were out somewhere getting high and there was nothing in our home that brought any Christmas spirit. The kids at Isa’s school had been bragging about all the presents they already had under the tree and how their homes were lit up with Christmas

He'd have to tell her eventually, but now wasn't the time.Things were in motion now that couldn't be stopped. He turned her around then started back to the fire. “So, tell me about Christmas. What do you do? How does it work?” Gretchen crossed her arms over her chest and smirked.“How does it work? It’s a holiday." Damien put his arm around Gretchen.“Yes, my love, I know that. Xander poured two glasses of champagne from a bottle chilling in ice. “Drink. It’ll help with the nerves.” I took the glass, downing half of it in one swallow. “Easy. I need you coherent tonight.” “Sorry. I’m just…” I gestured helplessly. “This is a lot.” “I know. But you can do this. Remember our story. We met at The Vault six weeks ago. I noticed you across the room, introduced myself. We started talking and realized we had more in common than expected. We became friends first, started spending time together. The friendship turned into something more.” He leaned closer. “I fell for you gradually, then all at once. Proposed last week because I couldn’t imagine my life without you. Understan

Lowering myself to her level, I held her shoulders gently and brushed a strand of hair from her face. “No,” I said softly. “No, honey. You just had a nightmare. That’s all.” She didn’t look convinced. “Mummy has no reason to hurt Daddy,” I added quickly. “I’ll be back soon. And guess what? We’re spending Christmas here with Grandma and Uncle Elliot.” Her face lit up instantly. “Yeah.” “I’m just going to get a few things for Christmas,” I said. “I’ll be back.” I turned away before she could ask anything else.
