There was a sickening crunch; his hands freed me as he fell backwards. I heard the sharp crack of a weapon being primed. It was enough to halt my action. The guard I had stomped on, limped towards me. There was a storm on his face, he grabbed me and pulled me with a force I wasn’t prepared for. I couldn’t sort out my legs in time. My eyes widened, time slowed, the fall lasted longer than it should have. I tried using my hands to break my fall but it was too late. If I fall and land on my feet a would blow out my ankles and now me able to walk or get anywhere for that matter. If I fall on my butt I'm sure I'd break my tail bone since I don't have that much meat to protect anything. If I fall flat on my stomach and use my hands to help break the fall, I'd probably just be winded but I'd still be able to continue moving forward. I take a deep breath before pushing myself off and sticking my hands out and bending my legs forward a bit to help break my fall. Once I close my eyes my body hits the ground with full force causing me to groan in pain. I roll onto my back and gasp for air as I grasp onto my stomach.
