Bailey: Drifter scream as he falls through the top floor and back on the third. "Holy shit," I yell as I step back. Watching as more of the floor breaks apart and falls, I have to jump through a window and into one of the rooms. Meanwhile, Rebecca runs back down the walkway. "Are you okay," I ask from the window, waving away some sawdust. "I'm fine," Rebecca yells, "But where's Drifter?" Hearing some groaning from below, I look down and see a silhouette in the dust cloud.

An obsidian stone is inside my seal, and the guards fall over themselves to let us inside once they know who I am. The wall is ridiculously tall, made of thick, reinforced steel. I crane my neck back, move my hair back to see it all. The portly guard pulls a lever, and a portion of it lowers. Clunky and groaning, the ice flys out, the gate forcing its way open. The gate lowers completely, warm water slowly trickles out, and the inside of Estate Eclipse is steaming. I grab onto Dante and he helps me past the blocks of ice until we cross the other side of the gate.

The fall was more than something he could control. He couldn’t stop the scream that forced itself out of his mouth as he found himself struggling against the force of gravity. His body hit the window guards from the top most floor and his head also hit one of the opened window glasses and continued downward until it got to the middle floor at the fourth second where it hit another opened glass window, all this slowing down his movement and increasing the pains of his fall. He closed his eyes in anticipation of his death as he continued falling.

Let me cl—” She flung herself at her, shifting all her weight towards her and Cassandra staggered back, shrieking as her foot found emptiness against the door threshold. But before I could make out any distinct features or recognize who he was, he moved. With a sudden, fluid motion, he leaped off the railing and jumped straight down toward the ground below—from the second floor! My heart leaped into my throat. No!

Every ounce of strength. She let go. Suddenly. My weight was already shifting backward from pulling so hard. My foot reached behind me, searching for solid ground. There was nothing. I’d forgotten where I was standing. Right at the edge of the stairs. My arms shot out, grasping desperately for the railing. My fingers brushed it but couldn’t hold on. I fell. My back slammed into the stairs. The air left my lungs. Then gravity took over. I was tumbling, my body hitting step after step. Each impact sent pain shooting through me.

The ground cracked and swallowed most of the people and everything made of glass; the windows, the bottles all shattered to pieces and pinned most people to the wall. Alvara and Hudson didn’t understand what was happening and they couldn’t control themselves either. Soon the whole building collapsed burying most people.
