I was looking at him, my heart still in disbelief.
Hunter shrugged. He turned to look at Kira, then back to me.
“I needed to say anything that would make a love-struck puppy like you stay in place, and you were a fool to believe it for that long. Well, I wouldn't blame you. You were in love, and there wasn't a thing you could see or hear. I had you dancing to my tunes.”
He spoke slowly, looking at me with a look in his eyes.
