“You stole her breath. Now, I take yours.” In a flash, the Reaper closed the distance. One cold hand touched Clark’s chest. Clark gasped. He tried to scream, but no sound came out. His body jerked once—twice—and then fell to the floor, lifeless. Silence. The Reaper turned to me. Blood rushed in my ears, too loud to hear whatever he said—if he said anything at all. My body gave in to the darkness. And I collapsed. Cullen’s POV The man’s body dropped like a stone. Soul ripped. Breath silenced.

This was it, Sentinel would never be de-funded again, this was going to be Grenville’s defining moment in what had been an underwhelming and unremarkable career. “The lift and corridor feeds are ready.” the tech stated. The grab team were ready and they all looked at Grenville as he was still stood with his back to them staring out of the window. The team just looked at each other rolling their eyes at the sanctimonious older man as they followed him in to the corridor.

My bag tumbled from my grasp, hitting the floor as I sank to my knees. I felt a figure hovering around me and looked up to see Billy, a cold grin spreading on his face as he pulled me closer. His garlic breath caused me to cough. “I’m sorry our deal had to end this way, but you should have given us what you owed us.” “Fuck you,” I spat on his face. “You better run because you will regret this night. I will kill you!” “How about you die first?” He snarled, punching me in the face and causing me stumble to the ground.

I pleaded, my legs became wobbly, I prayed they wouldn’t give out. “Then why isn’t Jamie Summers on the list?” He growled. “What list?” I asked. The two guns went off, and I screamed, “No! Please don’t!” Callie started crying, the blood from the officers dripped out from a hole in their right side. They tried to scream but it looked like their mouths were sealed shut. “The list! The list holds the names of those that the reapers are sent out to collect. You must be on that list, but under which name, girl?”

William said. “Change your clothes, I’ll show you something,” Billy said and left the room. They drove to a cemetery, confusing William because the place was near the mountains and far from the city. “Why did you bring me here?” William said. “Follow me,” Billy said, they got out of the car, and like a dog, William just followed Billy’s orders, walking behind him without knowing what brought them there. “Actually whose grave do you want to show me?” William said and Billy's steps stopped, right in front of two beautifully decorated graves, grass growing lushly on it and the flowers looked very fresh as if they were replaced every day.

I saw with my eyes wide open as pale in bloom and did recognise of what is written and what is foretold. Billy was speaking while a group of men heard his voice and went to listen with their eyes amazed and mouth wide open. ‘Who did you see?’ random crowd inquired Billy raised his head and with a look made of all sweet accord answered. ‘I sight the Wolve price.’ His voice in awe and dismay he continued. ‘He had saved me from a trench in my bewildered, a three of tattered vampires attacked in flight like a lightning strike in the glorious realm of the blue....sky’.
