Time to return home and think of a way to get the pearl from my fox wife, Nyxora. I shifted into my wolf form and took off, jumping over rocks, logs, stepping on twigs, and swimming past creeks. My night vision heightened, and a scream from the woods reached my ears. I halted and listened carefully for it. It came again, and I darted in the direction it came from. As I avoided colliding with a tree, I saw something that caught my attention. A white animal running at an insane speed. The animal was pulling something big and had a faint silver glow trailing behind it. A FOX.

I asked myself in my head, my mind racing. Turning the page, the book revealed more about fox spirits, their abilities, similar to werewolves but they were far stronger, depending on the number of their tails. They could generate fire or lightning from their mouth or tails, shapeshift, possess a person’s body and create illusions to manipulate and outsmart their opponents.

"Fifty-eight wolves to go," Fenrik growled, his voice rough and raw, nearly lost beneath the snarling chaos around him. He stood in the heart of the battlefield, a hulking, blood-soaked beast with crimson eyes, fur bristling and teeth dripping with the blood of the Golden Eye wolves. His claws were stained and torn, but he didn't slow—not even for breath.

Spruceleaf growled as she managed to reach them. Flamestrike's eyes widened in panic when the dog-fox finally had enough and was about to roll on its back. He leaped off just as it did so, landing on his paws heartbeats later. Relief swept through Flamestrike when he found himself relatively unharmed. Though he had a few scratches here and there, he hadn't sprained a paw or received any bites from the dog-fox.

Each creature, from the tiniest insect to the most majestic stag, was part of the rich tapestry of werewolf lore. "See that fox there, Raven?" Silas pointed, his eyes gleaming with admiration. The fox's coat was a brilliant red, its movements fluid and stealthy as it navigated the underbrush. "In our culture, it symbolizes cunning and adaptability. We learn from these creatures; we connect with them." Raven's eyes followed the fox, her breath catching at its beauty. "It's like the forest is alive with stories," she marveled, her voice tinged with awe. "Each animal, each sound, it's like a language I never knew."

I can feel myself starting to drool, anticipating the crunch as I eat them to the bones. One long, bloody tongue sticks out to licked clean the bloody splatters on my huge crimson paw. I gazed down at my blood-stained red fur. I leaped to viciously bite the neck of the nearby werewolf, turning the earth an even redder shade as I joyfully ended his life with a blood-curdling howl. ______________________ "Uhm..." I moaned as I got up slowly. I did not expect to doze. I smiled as Foxy huddled closer. I feel bothered with my weird dream just now. Who was that wolf? I stand and put my little fox on the ground as it happily munch on the beef jerky I gave him.

These foxes didn’t do anything without a reason. “Your m-mate?” The shivering fox muttered to himself in the back. “Foxes don’t have mates.” The fattest fox on the left laughed the loudest. “A match made in heaven. The most feared Alpha in the unknown world and the Silver Fox.” Silver Fox echoed through my head. A collection of gasps ricocheted from my pack members as they took a step back in shock. My own deep growl emanating through the forest. “Do not accuse her of anything.” Aiden shouted at them.

Not fiery, of course, - he looked sideways at me with an undisguised smile, - but more even redheads. - What kind of bear are you? - Fox clarified, drawing the guy's attention to himself. Here's a juvenile asshole... “Himalayan,” he replied. “I grew up in these parts. I have known many forests since childhood. “And I never left the city limits,” the Fox added sadly in his voice, and then laughed. So let's have some fun outdoors. “Kindergarten,” Kitty quipped. And I agreed with her, Fox is still very young. Why did he agree to this job? - Human lives are at stake, and he was going to have fun ...

Viex gulped. “Did I hear you right?” Ace kneeled down just to glower at the small fox. “Did you just growled at me?” Viex flattened his ears immediately in fright. “I’ll say this one last time. You get in here willingly or I’ll stuff you in like a dead animal.”

What the hell is he doing here? This is not good. I try to hold on to my bear and pull him, but he is immovable. There is no way he will reason when he is enraged like this. I urge him to run away, but he plants his big paws and meets the dangerous engine noise with rabid impatience. There is nothing my grizzly likes better than unleashing violence on the world. It's revenge on the universe for depriving him of his mate. The Fox Hounds arrive, jumping over the truck on their dirt bikes.
