It took a few more moments for her to recognize him, and then she just stared, speechless. Trent was equally perplexed, but he was the first to recover, and in an instant he was standing in front of her, holding her hand. "It's you, isn't it? Gwen Stanton? It's you anyway." Gwen could barely remember to breathe as the impossibly handsome stranger, dressed in a designer coat, wrapped his powerful arms around her. She caught the scent of his expensive perfume and his masculinity, and she gasped. That stranger, that man who looked like a god, was it Trent? Your Trent?

Stefan’s POV Gwen stays in the bathroom for quite a while. Long enough to have me almost bursting the door open to ensure she is alright. When she emerges, her face is freshly washed, but her bloodshot eyes give away the fact that she has been crying. I start towards her, reaching for her, but she shakes her head and moves aside. “How can I know when it’s him and not you?”

Her smile flickered across her face like a hologram. "Hey! Anika, right?" a woman's voice caught my attention. My eyebrows met, wondering if I knew her. Why does she know me? I can't recall her so I couldn't speak right away. "I'm Gwen. Gwen Stacy! We were classmates in elementary school. Gosh, you don't remember me anymore? We used to be together a lot. Like a lot. How are your parents now? I missed them." My lip-shaped oblong as I realized she was right. Oh, Gwen here too, but why only today? Does that mean she just transferred?

Well, except for the gaze of the man burning holes through my head, I was fine. "I'm Damon. You caught my attention since the beginning of the show but I did not want to disturb you so I waited till the end of the show to approach you." I breathed out as if he was nervous to talk to me. Looking at him now, he had great looks. He was pretty handsome and he was taller than I am. Very well. But not as tall as…. Stop that right now, it thought. "Oh….. I… I'm not very good at this. My name is Gwen. I'm a fashion enthusiast that luckily got an invite to come to a great show like this one." I said to him and he laughed. He had a nice smile.

However, the unexpected happened. The door opened from the inside, someone pulled her in. "Here she is, Grandpa. She's a bit shy, so I forced her in." Although surprised by the tall man's words next to her, Gwen was relieved that he explained the situation. "During the day, Mr. Jason Cartwright, I am Gwyneth Stewart, or commonly called Gwen, pleased to meet you," she greeted politely. "I came here to—" "So, this is your chosen woman?" Gwen's heart stopped for a moment upon hearing that, and she shifted her attention to the handsome man. "Chosen woman?" she muttered.

People began murmuring, their whispers threading through the air like invisible tendrils. "Is that Gwen Summerbell?" "She looks even more stunning than before." "Didn't she disappear after her father took her to London?" I ignored them, keeping my head high. Then, amidst the sea of unfamiliar faces, a familiar one emerged. "Gwen!" Jersey, the birthday girl herself, rushed toward me, her arms outstretched. She was as radiant as ever in a stunning deep-red gown, her dark curls styled to perfection. I smiled as she pulled me into a warm embrace.

She recoiled and stared down at me, her gaze unnerving. Gwen was an A****n of a woman. Not only was she tall, but she was also built like one. Taking a deep breath, Gwen straightened her shoulders. At 5'10", she towered over me, but her imposing height was just one aspect of her commanding presence.
