Lukas leaned in and breathed in my ear, "They are Hades and his mate, Persephone." I felt my breath hitch. Even though I guessed it but knowing it was true made it feel real. Hades was clad in all-white suit with a rose on his lapel. I was expecting him to have a long white beard, but he looked youthful with his brunette hair slicked back and clean-shaven face. Persephone, on the other hand, was breathtaking with her white lace gown and her long blonde hair parted in one side. "Ahh, Lukas!" Hades cried out, wrapping his arms around Lukas and tugging him closer.

She swept back his charcoal colored black hair and kissed his forehead, causing him to lift his head up to gaze into her light brown orbs. I love talking to her, but once she gets started…’ I snorted. Morrigan took me to meet Persephone when she’d been teaching me. It was a treat to meet the goddess of my people. I’d spent a long time with her and Hades. That was how I knew Anders was nothing like the god. Hades got a bad wrap because he was a god of death... and the whole kidnapping his wife thing, but he was actually a very sweet man. Except when Persephone went to stay with her mother. Then he was just lonely and sad. Sometimes it made him irritable, but he was generally wonderful.

"It will take you to his home. I'm sure Channing won't mind staying with you until he is returned to you." She then pushed us through the gate, and we were in a garden. "It will be fine." The God of the Underworld seemed absolutely content while sending the demons to his realm. I saw a giant wave of water sweeping out demons and drowning them. Poseidon had started his charm…

And even better than that, her mate is Hade’s, the King of the underworld.” His face hovered above my own as he pushed a stray strand behind my eyes. "Maybe the witch didn't need the good king. Maybe she needed her very own Hades to help complete her,” As he spoke he brought his face closer to my own, his lips barely an inch away from mine.
