The two mothers visibly cower, but the rejected Luna seems less afraid, which is curious for me.

On both banks of the River Styx, crimson spider lilies bloomed in endless fields. Hades placed me in the Netherpool, deep within the Palace of the Dead. A massive water mirror materialized before me. The image in the mirror showed the wedding ceremony at the central plaza of Mount Olympus.

“Deserve? Do you think this place cares about fairness?” I ignored him, my thoughts racing. “The myth says Jodeicasca is where the unforgiven suffer endless regret to earn mercy from the Great Gods. If they pass the test, they’re condemned to eternity in the third division of hell. If they fail . . .” I hesitated, the words too chilling to voice aloud. “They’re damned to the deepest, nastiest part of hell forever.” I shook my head, fighting the growing dread. ‘Does that mean I’m dead? No! I can’t be! I won’t believe it. This has to be a nightmare—some lunatic’s twisted magic playing tricks on me.’

We will be going, but I will be back for our gaming session”, Hades said, getting up from the chair. “Thank you very much Mozart”, without thinking, I leaned forward and kissed his cheek. He gave me hope and I’ll forever be grateful to him. We got out of the hut and began walking. “Where to next?” I asked. Hades sighs. “To Tartarus, it’s where I hid the other piece of your soul.”

The change of schedule was confusing and odd, but at the end of the day, they chose to believe in Shadow. “We will meet again at the second entrance by the end of the day.” Hades circled the place he meant onto the map that he was carried. “We understand.” Both Persephone and Dionysus understood. With a signal, Hades parted his lips. “Go.” He said before he vanished and went straight to his own checkpoint. The main headquarters of the main city was situated in the middle of the city with heavy security. Despite how central it was, the HQ was mostly singled out.

Hades chuckled at her words, he was happy that she accepted his offer. They drove to a high end area surrounded with skyscrapers. Hades lived on the 55th floor in a penthouse and as soon as they entered Anastasia was flabbergasted by the view in front of her. She ran towards the ceiling to floor windows and couldn't help but be mesmerized by the sunset. Hades walked and stood beside her, he was enjoying another beauty.

The security there is the highest we’ve ever seen. Only those explicitly invited by Griff himself may cross those wards. All others suffer soul-deep burns.” The black-haired woman raised her hand. Hades nodded. “Yes, Miss Shade?”
