Red Rover
The second we step through, I remember exactly what Elysium is.
The paradise of the dead.
Clear skies. Rolling green hills. Blossoming flowers. Fruit trees. Peaceful, radiant beauty.
We have to jog to keep up with Hades’ pace until we reach a small wooden hut with a thatched roof. Hades pounds on the door.
It opens to reveal an older man—mortal-looking, stooped, with long white hair.
“Lord Hades,” the man says, dropping to one knee.
“Rise, Odysseus,” Hades replies. “I have a mission for you. These wolves and witches are going to Tartarus—and they’ll need a guide.”
