“It’s starting.” The universe hadn’t changed anything; it was only shifting the pieces just like chess. Her gaze drifted across the office until it landed on Iris, who stood a few feet away, laughing softly with a colleague, her perfect hair glinting under the lights. NATHANIEL'S POV. ADELE'S SkyFall played slowly from the radio, and it felt swift and soft, matching the tempo of the moment we have at hand. The sky was actually falling as it began to rain lazily drizzling at first, before becoming heavy showers.
