Your cake is in the fridge, do you want to eat some of it?” She asked and I nodded. Maria and I made our way to the kitchen. Even if my birthday turned out to be a nightmare, I still tried my best to stay happy. At least, I had Maria to celebrate with. Maria brought out the cake and placed it on the counter. She asked me to sit on the stool while she cut the cake into large pieces.
