the four teenagers all looked up as they saw a female monster with eagle like wings under her arms and bird like feet soar through the Sky. Many of the villagers all ran in fear at the sight of this abnormal creature. What the hell is that? Bonnieaxed. “A harpy, “Trevor answered. “Run, “ The girls all ran from the harpy as it flew closer and closer to them. As they ran away, April Gee tripped and fell to the ground, giving the harpy more time to attack her period but as it slashed its talents, Trevor moved in Ann took the hits to save April G.

It slipped off the shelf into her waiting hand, the pages already turning to the very entry her mind was seeking. Strangely, the bird was observing her just as intently, an intelligence in its gaze as it watched the pages of the book open without her hand. She brought the book in front of her and glanced down to look at the photograph of the harpy eagle. The eyes were round and shining with intelligence, but they were not black. The eyes in the picture were a bright amber with a black pupil. She let out her breath slowly. Something was wrong with her bird.

As it breathed its last, Harper paused her feast. Something moved, not too far from her right. She thought it was only a small animal, a rabbit or so. What she’s not aware of is that it was another wolf…stalking her from the moment she left the camp. Harper ate again, this time, tearing away the deer’s limb one by one, enjoying its meat. It was tender and juicy, too perfect to save it for another day. Without her knowledge, the other wolf prowled closer and closer to her… and no, it didn’t come for the dismembered deer.

A Harpy landed with a loud thud, directly across from Jaxson, who remains unmoving as others joined it. They all appear to look the same. With short auburn hair split and tied by two red ribbons, hanging loosely off their shoulders. Their wings ranged in different colours, almost as if the creatures plucked them from the body of a parrot. Their loose breasts jostled freely with every movement, and their scorching blue gazes burned through them, promising punishment. "We meet again, son of Hades," one Harpy's silky, smooth voice rang in the silence. Her words were slow and cruel, "I still recall pulling you from Tartarus. We never expected to see you again after your long and brutal journey h

But he still taught me what I would need to survive the process of collecting them. Some of the ingredients weren’t dangerous so much as difficult. Take the Farse Wild Hare, for example: harmless, skittish, and almost indistinguishable from common wild hares. The only difference was a subtle spiral pattern on the underside of its tail and a peculiar micro-flick of its ears every few seconds. They hid among regular hare colonies, using the herd’s numbers to make spotting them nearly impossible. Dryden had shown me how to pick them out in motion. How to watch the herd as a whole, then catch the anomaly without locking eyes—because the moment you focused, the Farse would bolt.

His body falls to the floor finally, and putting a foot down on his chest, the harpy twists his head violently off and holds it up. That is all that is left of him. That head, muzzled till death. I feel that pity again, an emotion I have no business feeling and rather than look at what’s left of The Scythe, I look at the harpy instead. What demonic creatures, under the beck and call of the royals. No one knows how they were created, or how they are controlled. The only truth about them is that they are the wolf-predators we all never saw coming. They are superior to us, and I feel like it when I stare into the harpies’ gaze. The harpy looks exactly the same as the six others, it could be mal

"I' m coming! What do you want, King? " "Look what you' ve done, Harson! " the king lowered his voice and scolded him, "Last night, I told you to catch a few hare for Cynthia if necessary, but what have you done? " Harson lowered his head sheepishly and said, "I didn' t do anything. " "Lie! " The king said angrily, "You caught 30 hare for her! Do you know that each player only has 20 arrows? Do you know how hard I had to work out how to rationalize these extra ten hare seeds today? "

She thought it was a big wild animal but a perky hare showed up and hopped out. She sighed in relief and gazed at the grey hare which was fat and looking very tasty. Her blood suddenly rushed, her mouth watered and her irises suddenly changed into something unearthly vicious. Her baby blue eyes turned yellow, making the white of her eyes turn as black as coot. She watched her prey hop, unawarily, smelling the place. In a single move, she jumped on the hare grabbed on the neck, and bit the poor hare, it squealed and cried out until became quiet.

The name alone didn't sound very foreboding but she knew by the shocked and nervous looks on the faces of the men in front of her that she was wrong. "That actually makes sense," Guin breathed, "I can't believe we didn't realize it with her incessant screaming." "What is a harpy," Saraid asked. "A harpy is usually a peaceful creature. They live in the wooded areas, never leaving their families. It is only when one of their own is threatened that they become a threat.
