I always will be,” she whispered. I laughed softly and hugged her back. “I know, Harper. You’re my second love after Theo, obviously,” I teased, making her giggle. The other ladies laughed along, and for a moment, the tension in the room eased.

Her chocolate hair had been moved to the side, revealing the creamy skin of her neck and shoulders, he was tempted to mark her as his already. “Thank you”, Daphne said with a blush as Sarah helped her up from her seat. Sarah held Daphne as they walked towards the door to meet the alpha king since Daphne was still getting to know how to walk on the death trap called heels. “Thank you, I can take it from here”, Dwayne said to Sarah, collecting Daphne’s hands from hers. “Very well, your majesty”, Sarah said before bowing and leaving the room to give them some privacy.

I follow her gaze to see him slouched on a seat alone, nursing a bottle of whatever that is, his hair is framed across his face, making him look like someone who hasn’t had proper sleep in days. “I’ll go check on him.” Arya says, slipping out of my hands. My body instantly goes cold the moment I am not holding her anymore, sighing, I watch as she saunters over to his side and seats in the chair facing him. His face brightens up a little as he talks to Arya; of course, my Arya has that kind of effect on everybody. The door opens and Daphne works in, cheeks flushed from the cold. Typical of her to wear a jumpsuit to a party, the moment she sees me, she waves in excitement, coming over to me.

Standing right next to the tub was Daphne. She was bare and dripping wet. Her long blonde hair was stuck to her skin, dripping water onto her bare shoulders and wide hips. She held a black velvet cloak loosely around her waist, but the front was completely open, showing her chest, her ribs, and three dark red scratches where Victor’s nails had torn her skin. In her right hand, she held a long silver dagger. Thick blood dripped off the blade, falling into the puddle between her bare feet. She did not look scared. She did not scream or shake.

"Care to tell me why you're trying to break down this door?" The blue haired one glared at him. "It's none of your business. So get lost." Marcus chuckled lowly, running a hand through his hair. "It's my business though. I don't tolerate harassment in any form and—" "It's not harassment!" the black haired one said, stepping forward. He smiled, extending a hand. "I'm Harry." Marcus stared at the hand for a beat before looking at him. "How is that my concern?" Harry flushed in embarrassment before taking his hand back. "The omega in there is my partner and he went into heat."
