I smiled at him, the grin wicked and stretched across my face. “Too late Prince.” I lashed my energy towards him, sparks filling the air as it cracked across the room like a whip. It wouldn’t be enough to kill him like I did his guard, but enough to hurt, and that’s all I wanted right now. I needed blood. I watched as lighting hit him in the center of his chest, and sent him flying against the wall. He slammed into the surface, crumpling to the ground. I sucked in heavy breaths, exhausted from over extending my magic. I could feel my skin crawling, heating up from the overload like an overcharged battery. I leaned back to close my eyes for a second, when a loud cough sounded through the room

This made her wonder whether or not he had gone to meet her. “Allen…” She greeted him with a smile watching him bow in response even with the small pile of papers in his hands. Curious about the contents, considering how carefully Allen held it in his hands, Hurai couldn’t stop herself from asking. “What’s that?” “Caution papers,” Allen instantly replied almost like he had been waiting for it, going as far as to move closer to Hurai while showing it to her. “Whose…” “The vampire Prince,” Allen responded not surprised to see the expression of shock that appeared on Hurai’s face.

The skull and bones printed on his dark hooded robe moved in rhythm, indicating that a soul entered the lair of the souls. “The magic is stronger than mine.” Vira said. When I sit, I run my hand over the book cover. The top left quarter of it is no longer glowing brightly. It’s gone from a shiny gold color to that of iron, making it stand out on the cover.

Peace. Henry sat cross-legged on the floor, a thick spell book open in front of him. He turned pages like they were treasure maps, eyes lighting up every few minutes when he found something new. He beckoned Lila over with a grin, holding up the open text like a secret, and she knelt beside him to peer at the symbols. I watched her lean in close, brushing her hair behind her ear with that delicate, absent gesture she always did when she was focused. Henry pointed to something on the page and Lila laughed softly, shoulders loose, unguarded.
