I say nothing. “Can I come in?” He whispers. “I don't want to risk being seen here.” It's only then that I notice the cap fully drawn over his face. That isn't enough though to hide his identity. I open my door wider and he steps in. I lock the door behind me and realize my mistake when I turn back to him and notice his stiff back. I shouldn't have left the book on the bed. His eyes are hard when he turns to me. “Is that what you want, Zara?” He glances again at the book cover; a sinful image of a man bent over a woman on all fours.

Sleep eluded me that night. Every time I closed my eyes, his face materialized: those storm-gray eyes, that cruel, beautiful mouth. The way he had looked at me, as if I were something he yearned to shatter, or devour. I struck the thin mattress beneath me. "Stop it," I hissed, my voice a ragged whisper. "He called you a half-blood like it was a disease. He's not your enemy. He's not anything."

Dawn remarked when she wandered into the room one day after class to see the first Harry Potter book in the brunette’s hands. “Hadn’t had time to finish it”, Lena said. She set her book aside and picked up Goblet of Fire “I’ve marked the page you were on”, she told Dawn as she held it out to her. The teen smiled, took the book from Lena and relaxed onto her bed to start reading. Lena picked up where she left off in the novel. ~0~

I'm reading Harry Potter on the couch, at Ana's insistence. Despite my first impressions of the book, mainly that it seemed geared toward children and not me, Harry Potter is turning out to be a very interesting read. I can't really relate to the main character missing his parents, but I can relate to his dislike for his living family members and his joy at leaving them behind and making new, unexpected friends. Sensing that it must be late, I check the time and see that it's 11:30, much later than Ana is usually out in the living room. I glance over at the table to see her head nodding at the same tempo as the foot-tapping. She is still intent on the Glock. I wonder if she realizes how late

I was busy reading some of the book titles: The Lord Of The Rings, The Hunger Games, The Harry Potter Series, The Lightening Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympian), The Last Mission.... Wow, he has good taste in books. I can't believe he actually read these. I began laughing to myself. "What's so funny?" Tyler asked. I turned to look at him, still laughing. "It's just so hard to imagine a boy like you reading. If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't have believed it." I commented.

In Hogsmeade Village?” “You like Harry Potter?” Jackson replies with a chuckle. “I saw the movies when I was a child, but I have not thought of them much since, I suppose.” Monica’s smile is bright as she admits, “I love them. I watch all eight movies at least once a year and lost count of how many times I have also read the books years ago.
