Chapter 17 Scarlett The next day was as usual and surprisingly no one visited me. I found a few books that were placed on the table. It was the Harry Potter series. Taking the book, I went to bed and hopped up. Leaning back, I started reading. The book captivated me wholly and I didnt know how many hours passed until a soft knock came on the door.

June’s POV “You need to go out more, Harry. You just can’t keep hiding inside forever, the weather is so nice and you can’t afford to waste such a good day indoor” This is actually the tenth time I’ll be asking Harry to go out and stop staying indoor all day with me reading him boring books like medical books. Even though those books might end up being helpful to me, that’s if I decide to go back to medical school. I still find those books boring.

I made love to her after that and she slept like a baby all through the night. I wouldn't say sex was a cure for her nightmares but it helped and that was enough for me. I'm seriously addicted to her body like an addict is to drugs and I'm not so sure I ever want to stop. "Hey gorgeous." I stride across the room to meet her and bend to kiss her hair. "What are you reading?" "Harry potter." She lifts the book for me to see the cover. "It's so addictive." "Yeah, it is." I agree. "You can see it's a little bit worn out. I read it a lot when I was younger."

"Harry Potter, huh?" Rosie's cheeks warmed up as she took the book back. "For old times sake." Anthony's eyes lit up as he looked down at her, a warm and easy smile resting on his face. "Personally, my preference lies with the Half Blood Prince." Rosie's eyebrows raised in surprise. "You... like Harry Potter?" "Who doesn't?" He chuckled, tilting his head. "Although I will sheepishly admit that I have only watched the movies and not read the books."

"But no, I don't know that I can be considered a Potterhead. I've only ever watched the movies, never read the books." He gasped, grabbed his chest. "Heresy. How could you not read the books?" Turning away, I shrugged as I measured out everything I would need for the first layer of her massive book cake. "They came into popularity when I was with...him. Since I've been single, I haven't had the time to read them." "Can I ask what happened while you were with him?" he asked softly.

I just had to get that book. A huge chunk of my childhood was spent reading J.K Rowling's books (including the whole, god-licious Harry Potter series which were obviously my favourite ones). Everything she wrote made me dream vividly of another world- it was nearly as fantastic as skydiving. I glanced at my legs and sighed sadly- the last thing I wanted to do was think of skydiving. I needed a few more weeks to digest that accident.

While the library was filled with business books and self-help books, she was able to find some novels, albeit classics. Mary had stolen them, or more like borrowed them for a while, and she was in his room reading. And no, it wasn’t due to the fact that she missed Nicholas or just wanted to smell his scent. No. It was more because she found reading in his room better since it was bigger than hers and his bed was more comfortable. She lay on the bed, armed with a bowl of salted popcorn she had made early, as she flipped the pages of Harry Potter. Just close to her, on the nightstand, was the milkshake, which she would occasionally sip from.

Taking the book off the shelve I may just find what I wanted to know here. I take a glass of bourbon and go sit in front of the fireplace. The small fire tongues lapping at the logs. Opening the book, I started reading about black magic but nothing that I could relate to what was happening to me and Brian. I have been reading now for about two days and was tired, so I closed my eyes and, before long, I drifted off. I saw Hailey standing at the door. She is fudging with her hands in front of her, I am sitting in front of the fireplace looking at her as she starts to talk.

The town library looked like a setting from “The Harry potter” movie. There were a lot of old books and creaky wooden chairs. This is the only library in town and not many people pay attention to the library. They get their news from their phones. No one wants to read in the library anymore, maybe just for research.

As usual, Harry always wanted Julia to read him a story before bed. Julia grabbed a bedtime storybook for children from the small table drawer next to Harry's bed. Julia arranged a few storybooks inside the drawer. She had read the book many times, but Harry still loved it. Harry then put his head on the pillow, getting ready to lie down. Julia began reading the book she was holding.
