he watched the blonde man return to the car.
“What are we talking about?” The blonde man wondered brightly as he closed the door behind him.
The brunette drove on. “We were discussing recent events, Harry. I’m not sure I entirely understand what’s happening, myself,” he said softly. “At times it all seems like a bad dream.”
“Not all bad, Jules.” Harry reached over and squeezed the brunette’s thigh.
“No,” Jules’ smile was luminous. “Not all bad.”
“Basically, the Van Helsings want to enslave the supernatural world,” Harry flipped down the sun visor and preened in the mirror applying tinted lip balm retrieved from the chest pocket of his overalls. “And the supernatural world is resisting.”
