she slapped my ass and turned off the light as she left the room. I closed my eyes tightly, trying to regulate my thoughts and silence the ‘what if’ voice growing in my head. Thankfully the beer in my system worked its magic, and I drifted off to Dreamworld.

Instead, I told them that my nightmares were taking a toll on me, and it was probably the lack of sleep and paranoia that makes me see things. I knew that by the look on their faces, they thought I was either going mad, or they tried to think of a logical explanation as to what I was talking about. "Hold up," Joyce said as she rubbed her temple. We were all sitting on the floor by this time except for Kimmy who was on the bottom of the stairs, "you mean to tell me, you're technically being haunted by your ex who was part of a cult?!" she said exaggeratedly. I knew she was also losing it by the way she stressed the word "cult".

Harper nodded. “Wait here. I’ll call the witch. She can interpret your dream.” And then Damon was out of the room. Harper was alone again, with the vague memory of a nightmare. She held her face on both her hands. It felt real.. so real that she still feels like she’s at the bottom of the pond as of the moment. Everything about that was… it was surreal. But that wasn’t what mystified her. What did was the man. It had no face. So she couldn’t tell who it was.
