Haunting Adeline Novels & Stories

Everything was a chaotic mess. It was 4 am and I had just been, once again, blocked out by Delilah when someone kicked my door open. Looking over my shoulder, I found disheveled and groggy Adeline entering in haste. Her eyes were wide and she rushed straight in our direction in a hurry. Lucas rose to his feet, reached her with quick strides, and cupped her cheeks, "What happened, baby? Was it a nightmare?" Adeline grabbed his hands holding her face and whispered in shock, "Witches are not the only ones who can summon up the portals."

Could it be… uncle Jerome would save me? “ Our generous Alpha has given me the permission, his magnanimous consent to judge this case” he turns to look at me and our eyes clash, and for a moment I think they almost soften. “So after deep thinking, I have decided that the criminal, Adeline will be degraded to the pack’s slave and will live out her life forever heeding to the demands of the pack and if she dares to reject it. I have given due approval for her to be punished in any manner that pack member benefits”

I shook my head, “If anything it has gotten worse, I don’t have to speak to him. He is able to read my thoughts, apparently.” “That’s great, so all the information and everything you have done for the order is at his disposal.” “No. I have to be thinking about it for him to hear it.” I corrected him. Alpha Rawlins frowned, “I will have to kill that vampire and break the bond he shares with you.” “You’d kill Nerine in the process.” General Abtez stated. “It’s General Nerine.” I corrected him and he turned to glare at me. “I think we should drop the titles at least for tonight, if we used them around the humans, it would look weird.” Alpha Rawlins pointed out.

Adeline’s POV It's been two weeks since the topic of marriage was laid out on the table and since then it's been quite hectic in the Carter household. There's been an obvious change in the atmosphere like everyone is walking on eggshells around me. I know they are being very cautious with words especially prohibited words, like Axel... I stare out of the window in the lecture hall and breathe out a sigh... A bit too loud... Wait. Oh crap the mic is on. Squeezing my eyes shut and then opening them again, I look around pretending like I wasn't the one who did that and just when I thought my plan would be a success, I take a second glance and see everyone staring, at me. Even the professor.

rich. ‎" Oh well this is Adeline" my dad smiled at me as the man opposite him turned to me. He looked deep into my eyes I felt small under his gaze. I looked away as I looked down. I could still feel his stare. I heard him hum lightly which made me look up. ‎"This will do" the man said as he stood up and his men followed him out. But my dad stood up and stopped them before they left. ‎"this is my older daughter. The deal was for the youngest" my dad chimed. A what? I was so lost.

Of course I didn't tell her how many times she did. Eva on the other hand would not stop crying and when she eventually did, she started screaming about how much she hated men which was quite funny, considering the fact that she just said she was heartbroken. Eventually they both fell asleep, after much tussle and hassle, I asked Hannah to change Adeline’s clothing. “What are you thinking about so much? Your girlfriend is siding with your demonic cousin.” Ric said, I raised my eyebrows “He’s not my boyfriend, Ric.” Adeline says while Denola snorted.

And after what she told me earlier,of what she had seen…” Hollingsworth Manor,July 1984 “I swear to you Polly,”Ginny said in her most excited voice.”I saw her…in my room!” “Calm down Ginny,”Polly implored.”Tell me everything from the beginning.” Polly pulled her younger sister down next to her on the low wall overlooking the garden, where the flowers were in full bloom.Ginny’s beautiful elfin face,so much like her own,was frozen in a mask of pure terror. “I believe you Polly, everything you said about this place is true…its haunted! At first I only felt it,but now… I have seen this evil with my own two eyes!”

Stefano explained. “He took your wife. Why?” “I turned Adeline into a daemon. That means my blood runs in her veins. So, she is half-Angel and half-Daemon. She might not be as powerful as I am, but her blood could give Angel of Death enhancement in many aspects.” the High Lord answered. He flipped the same book. “And, I know she’s alive all along.” “Whoa, what are you talking about? You know Adeline is alive all these times?” Clavier stopped him from explaining further. “So this whole time, you know she’s alive?”

she asserted with a raised eyebrow and Lilia nodded in anger, the death of Natacha hung tightly in her heart. Adolphus laid still, his mind far away as his eyes were tightly closed with no space around him. He found himself inside a dark tunnel filled with moisture and no light in it. The tunnel was so dark but with his ability to see in great darkness, Adolphus began to walk towards the long part, his confusion surveyed the cave.

They didn’t divorce, but they didn’t seem to reconcile anytime soon. Before Clavier could say anything, Adeline collapsed, and he rushed in to catch her body. “Adeline!” Clavier called as her eyes were slowly closing. He touched her forehead and felt her skin was burning hot as if she was grilled alive. There were red markings all over her arms. With her shaking hands, she reached for something inside the pocket of her jacket. “What’s this?” Clavier asked. “The drug...the First Elder’s blood used to produce the drug...and the research data….” Adeline replied softly before losing consciousness.
