Wings of Payback

Wings of Payback

Then, I took out an A3 paper from the briefcase and spread it across the table. It was a curved flight path, overlapping on the city map. "This is the flight path of the Cessna with the registration number B-10YZ between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm on the same day. This aircraft…" I stared at him. "…is owned by Zach Airways." A flicker of tension crossed Zachary's face. Under the light, his face turned as pale as a sheet as he swallowed hard. Mike fixed his eyes on the two documents for a long time before he gradually raised his head. "Mr. Zachary, this weather report…"

Beneath Stained Glass Wings

Beneath Stained Glass Wings

K. Wolf
Sweat beads on my forehead. Closer. I lean forward, stretching my wings slowly so the soft, stained-glass plumage doesn’t make any sound, the dim light shining through each of the iridescent feathers and casting an oil slick of colors around me— Something grabs the collar of my shirt. Hot, moist breath brushes across the nape of my neck and through my shorn hair as I’m yanked backward. I scream and grab my dagger. But I know it’s useless. There’s only one thing this strong, this big.

Time to Spread My Wings

Time to Spread My Wings

" They hopped in their car and peeled out, leaving me alone outside the venue. The wind bit into me. I tugged my coat closer and waved down a cab home. All my stuff had been thrown outside, dumped across the doorstep like garbage. The maid looked sorry as she said, "Mr. and Mrs. Swain told me you have to leave and never come back." I didn't charge in to yell at them. I just packed up quietly, then walked away with my things. That very night, I got on a plane out of town, heading to a hidden research base run by the National Space Agency. Just before I left, I texted everyone, "I, Wanda Swain, am officially done with the Swains for good and by choice."

Alpha Hawthorne

Alpha Hawthorne

—Alpha Hawthorne’s POV— I stood before a man, the whip firmly held in my hand, as I gazed at him with a furrowed brow. His back bore the marks of the lashes, and a mixture of sweat and blood trickled down his skin. His eyes were filled with resentment as he glared at me.

Clipped Wings

Clipped Wings

Danielle Bush
“I know you aren’t a fan of asking for favors but I think the time has come to call in Hawk. He is the only one I know that has the means to protect her.” I weighed his words carefully. Hawk owed me a few favors, and we had worked together in the past, but I have never asked him to be a part of our network. Hawk had a good heart, but there were special circumstances which is why he was not involved with Clipped Wings. Whiz was right though; Hawk did have the means to protect Ophelia. As I thought it over the idea became more appealing to me because since Hawk was not involved in the organization then hardly anyone besides Whiz and myself would know where she was.

Wings Of Love

Wings Of Love

A soldier suddenly sprouted two wings on his body, he was flying in the sky, so he dodged. The test ended, only a few people remained. Bella Risa looked at the young man who was probably in his twenties, his handsome face retracting his wings. With a little praise, she couldn't help but blurt out: "He's both handsome and very good." Raph Conrad glanced at the woman, eyes glazed over at the other man. For some reason, there was some discomfort in his heart, and his tone was more harsh: "A group of ten people, but only a few people passed. Everyone, what kind of practice is this?”

Wings Of Change

Wings Of Change

she said pulling her towards the main entrance leading to the house. The Okoji resident was quite a beauty to behold. Aria didnt realize how massive the place was until they stepped into the main wing. Their Estate holds not less than two double duplex and three flats on the west wings. Several cars were parked outside with numerous servants going about their duties. Aria always knew the Okoji's were involved in other businesses but she didn't realized it was this huge. I guess that was why they were so popular in the media. As they continued to make their way into the building, Aria couldn't help but marvel at the interior decoration that trailed the corridor leading towards the living room

Alpha Wyatt

Alpha Wyatt

I see eyes in the woods glowing silver looking up at me. Instead of freaking out in a panic, I felt calmness like I did with Alpha Wyatt. But that couldn’t be him, could it? Alpha Wyatts eyes are an electric blue color, and these eyes are silver. Those set of eyes disappeared and the sense of loneliness washed over me. Mia was heard whimpering in the back of my mind as she must’ve felt the same feeling as I did.

The Purrfect Wingman

The Purrfect Wingman

And that was okay. Today I was helping Micah, a thirteen-year-old with a shaved head, hoodie sleeves always tugged down over their palms, and the eyes of someone who’d seen more than they should’ve. They weren’t chatty, but they liked drawing. Their sketchbook was filled with figures that resembled comic book heroes, quiet and fierce, with eyes always cast in shadow. They were hunched over a new page now, sketching a person standing in the center of swirling chaos. The figure held a long sword in both hands, the blade resting downward, tip touching the ground. Not raised. Not slashing. Just… there.

Oh this book is off to a fabulous start! I’m a few chapters in now and I’m loving this book. Spitfire, you’re my favourite, love the sass and commentary hehe. I’m also loving how the FMC/MMC are connecting and you can feel that slow love burning already. Highly recommend!

A delightful tale that combines humor and heart! With charming characters, an opinionated cat, and an engaging plot, it keeps you turning the pages. The book beautifully explores friendship and love, focusing on the bond between two humans and their feline chaos crew. A must-read for cat lovers!
