Not loud. Not threatening. Calm. Almost gentle. The Keeper has found the key. A strange pressure settled over the bridge. Naomi looked around uneasily. “Did either of you hear that?” Ama nodded. Orion nodded too. The silver-eyed Architect looked older than he had only moments ago. “The Keeper,” he whispered. The voice answered immediately. You remember. Orion closed his eyes. “I never forgot.” Ama turned toward him. “Who—or what—is the Keeper?” A long silence followed.

Several important things to note in that sentence, but I really must know, “What is a keeper?” “Who, not what. And keepers have been charged for all eternity with helping souls that have left the mortal realm pass on. If you had not stuck your head firmly in the land of denials, you would have taken note of all the teeming souls waiting for you to help them pass on.”

Bring her back. She turned. Diva's heart shattered—relief, anger, grief colliding. She wailed aloud. "Derek, no." He hesitated, doubt in his eyes. Eamon pushed back his hood, and the Keeper's face was revealed—another, one they did not know. The genuine Keeper smiled. "I keep the relic safe from those who would abuse it. Light and dark alike." Derek stepped forward, the sword falling from his grasp with a clatter. "Keep back from her."

“Yes.” He shifted slightly in his seat, turning more toward me. “There are these three men. They’re called the Keepers. The first, Eamon Virek. Fifty-six years old. From the Ironclaw Pack. He’s been serving the council for twenty-two years. The second, Darius Holt. Forty-eight years old. From the Silverfang Pack. Fifteen years in service. And the third…” Aric paused briefly. “Kael Renn.” Something about the name felt off.

she murmured, her brow furrowed in concentration. Alec, concerned, approached her. "Sasha? What are you hearing?" She opened her eyes, a hint of uncertainty in them. "Promises, regrets, warnings... it's overwhelming. But there's a pattern, a repeated phrase... 'Beware the Keeper'." Draken's eyes widened. "The Keeper? The Triquetra seemed incapable of having a normal conversation with Aislen, one that did not have the potential of getting them kicked out of her bed.

But occasionally, something would catch my attention. "Here," I said after about an hour. "This journal from 1523 mentions something called a 'Keeper.' Listen to this: 'The Keeper arrived three days past, bearing the mark of the ancients upon her brow. The Elders debated whether to offer sanctuary or turn her away, for the burden she carries draws darkness like moths to flame.'" Aeliana looked up sharply. "Keeper? What does that mean?" "I don't know. It doesn't elaborate." I kept reading. "It just says they decided to offer temporary sanctuary but insisted she move on within a fortnight to avoid bringing danger to the pack."

Keeper has spent his entire life in the underworld. It was just a mistake that brought him there that fateful night and ever since then, he has not been able to leave there. "You promised Emily, you must not go back on your words. If you do, I know I can't come over there but I can destroy you from here and I am sure you know that". Keeper warned Emily.

"I'm the Keeper now,I can listen in on your thoughts" she said into her ears. Kiyiya withdrew.
