the monster growls, and Thatcher growls lowly.
"Tell my mate thank you," the monster orders so fiercely Thatcher's body jolts.
The building muscles under my palm spasm and my anger spikes for my friend.
"Leave him alone. He can't say anything, you monster," I yell from behind Thatcher, and the monster goes silent for a moment.
"He can still scream," the monster finally snarls, and I hear bare feet slap the floor before Thatcher's body takes a hard hit.
"No," I scream, but no one can hear me over the grunts and growls of the fighting men.
