Heart Dragon Novels & Stories

Part 1: Jace Herondale The heart is a strange and amazing muscle and we all can't live or love without it, but most people don't think about it often. We don't think about the steady, faithful organ that beat one hundred thousand times a day. Most people have no idea that a woman’s heartbeat is faster than a man’s by about eight beats per minute, or that its four chambers pumps blood to every cell in the body except for the corneas.

The storm inside Damian had nowhere left to go. It roared through his veins like a living thing, too wild to cage, too consuming to ignore. His chest rose and fell in uneven bursts, every breath dragging heat into his lungs, every heartbeat pounding against the limits of control he had spent years mastering.

He was shirtless and standing in the doorway, stepping in and closing it behind him while he watched me. I titled my head at him and bit my bottom lip as I felt the heat in his gaze but my attention was securely on the mark on his chest, squarely over his heart. It was once again swirls of green, silver, black with a dragon in flight over a full moon. It wasnt as abstract as Kane’s was, a little more clear and more dragon centric as well. It was beautiful.

" I frowned at her while she shook her head in fear. "No sir, she is not feeling quite well so she won't be able to report today." She dropped the bombshell the same time my heart skipped a bit. "What the hell happened to her?" I hollered with eyes as wide as a saucepan. "She is suffering from a heart disease." She knotted her hands together. "What the hell are you talking about?" I slammed my fist on her table, making her panic. "Her boyfriend broke her heart so she is mentally unstable and she is nursing her heartache." She looked at the floor, fear evidently written on her.

She said and sat down. "And to introduce the major shareholders in this group... " Eva already became so tensed. He looked at the three men sitting beside each other staring at her. She needed no one to tell her who they are. They're the infamous blue dragons. Damien was standing behind her, he put his hand on her shoulder to calm her down. It doesn't show that she's uncomfortable but he knows she is. "Calm down Eva. You can do this." He whispered to her ear.

Danielle answered. Anthony thought for a while. He was brushing her hair with his big hands while his other hands were around her waist, to support her balance. “ I'll name him Daniel Angelo. From your name, my love.” “ That's a good name. I like it!” Then, Danielle's babies moved once more in her tummy. This time , she felt a tremendous pain. “ Honey, it hurts!” Danielle touching her belly while aching in pain. “ What?! Hold on, my love!” Anthony got panicked and nervous. He quickly carried her into his arms and carefully placed her on his car.

"A dragon's heart?" "Yes, but not an actual heart. The Dragon Heart Stone. A fist-sized ruby that was imbued with magic." He curled his fingers into a fist, remembering how it had felt to hold the ruby and feel the power surging through it into Piper. "I held her as she breathed her last, and then the stone exploded with power and turned to dust. There must have been a dragon's soul sleeping in there, one that bound itself to Piper. I can't think of any other explanation, but I've never heard of such a thing before, have you?"

Episode 1 " It's DCM, (Dilated cardiomyopathy)"the doctor spoke and it felt like it was a dream to her. Emily blinked again as if she didn't understand what the doctor said but she did. She knew exactly what that meant, her heart started beating fast against her chest but she ignored it pinching her fingers. " What's that doctor? Is it...that bad, will my mother not be able to recover from it?" Lilly asked desperately. " DCM, also known as 'Broken Heart Syndrome'.This condition is triggered by intense emotional stress, such as depression, sadness, grief, or loss, which can cause the heart muscle to weaken and lead to heart failure..."

And all I was left with was the echo of the door slamming and the dull ache spreading through my chest. I sat up slowly, the soft sheets dragging against my bare skin. My body still hummed with the aftermath of his presence—my thighs still trembling from his possession, my lips swollen from his kisses, my heart racing like it didn’t know whether to break or beat for him. He saw the call. Nick’s call. And the messages. My messages. My chest tightened painfully.

It was ajar again… and she was gone. The blackout deepened, as if someone had cut more than just the overhead emergency light. Even the hum of the servers grew weaker, a strange, unnatural fade. Then the faintest glow appeared across the room—red, small, but moving. A laser dot. It landed on Jax’s chest. Leo didn’t think—he moved. One hand slammed into Jax’s shoulder, shoving him hard to the side just as the muted pfft of another suppressed shot cut through the dark.
