Her father sat alone. “I won’t interfere with your enrollment,” he said. “But the cookbook stays with me.” She frowned. “Why?” “You should get back with Evan,” he added. “I know you were happy when you were with him.” Aria said nothing. “Don’t sell the cookbook,” she warned. Then she walked out. Evan waited by his car. “I helped,” he said smugly. “I did well, didn’t I?”

Alessia's POV "I have no time for this kind of talk, Stefano," I promised and I quickly stood up and took the books to put them back on the shelves. I felt heat on my cheeks because I felt ashamed for some unknown reason. I quickly walked away from the table but Stefano immediately followed me, he didn't seem to want to be held back.

All in all, this second story was even hotter than the first. By the time I finished reading "Her Best Friend", I knew I'd be pushing my luck if I looked at any more, so I carefully closed everything out and then shut the lid of my dad's laptop and put it back on the table. My lap was warm where it had been sitting the entire time. I hoped his computer would cool enough by the time he got home so he wouldn't notice anything. I was so worked up after reading those two hot stories, I could barely think straight.
