Heat 2 Book Review Mga Nobela at Kwento

“Right before the steamy part.” My face burned. I’d been reading that book before Agnes came over yesterday. It was supposed to be fun, not… weaponized. I wanted to scream. Or jump out the window. Or maybe punch him in the throat. “Give it back.” “You sure? I was enjoying it. Very enlightening. Especially this part…” He flipped a page, eyes skimming it, then recited: “She liked being watched by him. Maybe even owned.” He shut the book with a soft thud, his gaze locking with mine. No smirk this time.

He did enough. She cleaned up and returned to her bed. She had a new book, one Keegan had found when he went to get the suitcase with treats. That was one secret he refused to share with her but she didn’t mind. He could have his secrets. She didn’t want to know everything, just enough to feel safe and secure. It was a book called Heidi and she felt it was more of a children’s book than one for adults but it was still enjoyable. She had three more to read when she finished it and she had to admit that life was good, for the time being. She was warm and fed. She had a book and treats to eat while reading it. She could do with a cup for coffee but boiled water was a scarcity. She couldn’t find

I grin, “Aw, did you miss me?” “Maybe,” he leans forward, and my smile slips away at the intense look in his eyes. Jesse’s hand curls around my neck and I can feel his fingers pressing into my skin as he pulls me forward. I can’t help but be led by him, my heart pounding viciously, a steady thrumming between my ears. But as soon as his lips press against mine, all of it vanishes, only to be replaced by a slow burning heat that makes my toes curl.

This time, I was ready for the pain that I didn’t even blink when it started burning. It felt like the times when my father made me hold hot coals so I could grow resistance to them. He was a sick and depraved bastard. The book feels old. The pages are crusty and seconds from falling apart. I bet they only have one more read left in them. And I’ll be glad to offer it.

I flipped through the book, not giving myself any spoilers, just to see if he had done the same thing elsewhere. He had. In fact, it seemed that every steamy scene in the second book was marked up. “That fucking dirty playboy,” I growled, slamming the book shut and tossing it aside. It fell to the floor with a dull thud, the green dragon on the cover staring up at me. Mocking me. Well, that was spoiled for me. All I could picture now was Nicholas reading the sex scenes, studying them like a history exam, and then… repeating them. With other women.

But one I need to get used to quickly. A few minutes later, my tea arrived and I took a small sip before I let out a sigh of relief as the hot liquid blessed my throat and my stomach. But the joy of hot tea is short-lived as Lucas walks—limps—into the dining room, wearing a black shirt and cream-colored trousers. The shirt sleeves were folded, intensifying the bulge of the muscles on his arms. He was busy on his phone, the wrist watch making him extra sexy this morning, and the white shoes accenting his dark get up. How charmingly modern. I almost slap myself across the face for not letting last night go...explicit, and instead throwing a tantrum inside Lucas' bathroom.

he teased, winking playfully. Heat crept up my neck. I nodded shyly, knowing he was only half-joking. His pasta was barely touched, so I took a tentative spoonful. As I ate, I noticed the she-wolves sitting across from us throwing icy glares my way. Their resentment practically radiated off them.

I'll call you when we're done. Other students began to fill the auditorium, making the place although slowly, noisier and hotter in temperature. A fat student that had the shape of an hard-boiled egg sat in the seat next to him minutes before they commenced. Behind his sat a girl with eyeglasses so thick he suspected they were bulletproof. She had an awfully small nose that reminded him of rats. In the seat before him was another girl that looked so thin it reminded him of someone with a terminal disease.

With the way the fire monster had acted, it almost seemed like he wanted me to read something from the book. Suddenly everywhere became hot which made my pulse quicken and the book fall out from my hand, the fire monster was here. Prickly heat formed on my forehead before dropping onto the floor. Slowly my entire body became consumed by the heat. I stretched my hands in front of me but there wasn’t fire anywhere, it was more internal than external and I didn’t even know which was worse at this point. I felt something come up from behind me but when I turned in hysteria there was nothing behind me.

Thanks once more for the massive support, I really appreciate. Surprisingly, there would be a book two, Yes!!!!, I noticed why my book was rejected at a point was because of the beginning part of the book, I am writing the second part of this book and I promise you all that this one would be intriguing, you would laugh, cry, smile, be extremely mad at me at some point, but it would be far better than this. I can't thank you guys enough, once more, thanks a lot. I love you all so much.
