“ Hey, Maeve! You look so good! I missed you.” “ I missed you so much! “ Maeve cheered, then her gaze rested on me. “Hi Aunt Esther!” “ Hi Maya, what are you doing here?” Before Maeve could answer, Gianna stepped into view. She still looked as scary as ever, wearing heavy makeup that made her look like the queen of the coast, Emily secretly called her a witch when she was younger, and I didn’t blame her, Gianna scared everyone. She was the opposite of Robert, he was cool and calm while she was fiery and sharp-mouthed. The only thing that changed about her was her hairstyle, her hair was now short and tinted in a blonde collie, and she desperately wanted to look young forever

"What are you talking about—" "I see the way everybody looks at you, and I know you enjoy the attention and everything. You have a reputation, Alex, and I'm sure you know that. I know I shouldn't be asking you this, I probably don't matter, after all I am nothing more than a property—" Heather paused to sniffle back tears. Her body was trembling, her words felt deeper than anything she's ever said before. "Those ladies are wealthy.... they're better...looking than I am. I can't help you in anyway, I just want to know how much time I have before you leave me for one of them—"

I say shaking my head. “Anything you want to talk about?” Heather asks watching me closely. Heather is about three years younger than me and already mated. She moved here when she was fourteen to live with her human Grandmother who lives in a small cottage on our territory. Her life has been affected by this curse just as much if not more than any of us. She takes my hand and leads me over to the couch pulling me down to sit beside her. “Are you having problems with Quinn?” I shake my head staring at her mate mark. It is a very unusual one and so are the matching ones of her mates. We think it is because of Heather’s witch bloodline from her Mom’s side. When she notices me staring at her mar

She checks everything, including the baby monitor and Heather’s background, but finds nothing suspicious. On the fourth day of Damien's departure, Carol meets Heather in the garden. Sitting by the lakeside while playing with Aria, Carol observes Heather, who flinches slightly when spoken to. "Yes, ma’am?" Heather, a 21-year-old orphan from Damien’s family orphanages, responds quietly. "What would you do if you got a paid vacation?" The unexpected question startles Heather. She looks at Carol with wide eyes, clearly nervous. "Am I being—" "No!" Carol raises a hand, interrupting her. "I’m just asking."

Reed POV The sound of the patio door opening followed by the mouthwatering scent of roasted walnuts had us both turning to see Heather exiting the cabin. She is wearing a knee-length loose-fitting dark purple skirt with a white chop halter top. Her hair is down and still damp from her shower. The small amounts of water that are dripping from her hair are causing her white top to become see-through in places. No bra again, she really is going to be the death of me. I know I should stop staring, but how can you when there is someone this perfect standing in front of you. “Is there anything I can help with?” The sound of her sweet voice pulls both Lucas and I out of thoughts.

Heather was like a passionate eccentric coach getting her team ready for the most crucial game of their lives, one that could shape their future and careers. I have always thought of her as a defenceless kitten, a gentle dove, a meek lamb who wallows a lot because of what she’d been through and can’t even raise her voice at someone or let alone hurt a fly. I never knew she could be this pumped up. If she keeps up with this great attitude, she might just become my second best friend after Nina.

7:45, Heather arrived the lobby and was welcomed by Ben. She was wearing a thick red gown and a black hill shoe. Ben was surprised when he saw her. He was carrying two glasses of wine. “Oh mamacita, you look just like Anna” Ben stood beside her and stared at her head to toe. “You look good too Ben” Heather smiled to him. “I’m glad you came” he handed one glass of wine to Heather. “There are many people in here already?”

“Stay away. All the catty witches will start fighting over them. Sit back and let the competition take themselves out. Those two will take any women mixed up with them down when they fall. They are trouble on two or four legs. Sexy trouble, but trouble.” Heather’s words annoyed Rose. Heather was always a little jealous. She was the daughter of the Rolling Meadows Pack Healer. Rose knew Heather didn’t believe she belonged. She believed her father’s position made her less than, but they didn’t care. So, Amber had to drag Heather to these events.

The holes they left leaked confusion and hurt, her cheek throbbing with pain. “Alessia Carlisle.” His voice cast a dark shadow in the room. Alessia swallowed a mouthful of blood and saliva and wheezed, “My Alpha.” Her voice took on a submissive lilt and despite not seeing his figure, she lowered her gaze to the floor. A silence diffused through the room so distinctly, the crackle and pop of the flaming hearth seemed to spark before her eyes - bright as the anger that pervaded the Alpha. “Turn her.”

She then read the words again. “Hea…Heather?...” He brows creased. Out of the blue, a scene passed by her view, rendering her to flinch. It was her memory of the time she jumped down the building. She remembered it vividly when a guy called her Heather before everything went black. But, what is the correlation between Heather and her? Why was this name is etched on a flesh and why is she inside this almost destroyed space? The ground shook, premoniting the coming of a fall. Elaine had no time to ponder more about it, yet she need more time to guess. Before the rubble of flesh again fell on her for the third time, she loudly announced a random sentence on a flesh.
