Ultimately, he swung the blade at me, stabbing me in the heart. Then, he shoved me off the balcony of our apartment, which was on the 20th floor.

With a steadying breath, Aqua placed her hands over her heart and concentrated, allowing her thoughts to drift like leaves carried on the wind. “Mom… Dad…” she whispered, her voice trembling yet resolute. “If you can hear me, please, I need you.” A tingling sensation enveloped her as the air thickened with energy, crackling around her like static electricity. The room dimmed, shadows shifting as if responding to her call. In that moment, she felt a pull—a gravitational force drawing her inward, deeper into the essence of the universe. “Let me hear you,” she urged, pouring her heart into her words. “I’m ready.”

The King of the Void looked at the weapon. For the first time... It took a single step backward. "You forged..." Its voice carried something unfamiliar. "...the Blade of Beginning." The Creator smiled. "No. They did." The white blade released a pulse of light that spread across the collapsing world. Dead trees bloomed. Broken stone became green with life. The frightened Gatekeepers felt hope returning to their hearts. Even the widening crack in the sky stopped growing.

He stepped inside the demon’s swing, pivoted sharply— And drove his blade upward beneath the general’s armor. The steel stopped just short of Kharvek’s throat. Silence fell instantly. The duel was over. Kharvek froze. Adrian held the blade steady. “Yield,” Adrian said quietly. The demon’s jaw tightened. But he finally lowered his weapon. “I yield.” Adrian stepped back. The court erupted again—some cheering, others murmuring in disbelief. High above them, Vaelreth stood slowly from his throne.

I chipped in the update. “Two idiot friends always amalgamating the most stupid ideas” “So what do you think of it?” I was immune to her insults already. Anyone that still gets offended by it is yet to understand that harshness was Hilra’s mother tongue. She thought for a moment and turned to the door when it sounded like someone was walking past. “According to Anthonier, the blade is still with her?” “Yes. I believe it is safest in her room. No one would believe I’d leave a blade that could end me in the hands of a mistress who had barely stayed a full week”
