Stacey's POV: I hadn’t spoken much all morning. Silence felt like my only safe companion these days. It was raining when I woke up, and something about the way the sky looked, gray and heavy, mirrored the weight in my chest. I sat on the couch in Chloe’s living room, legs curled under me, coffee untouched as I read David Hewson’s Macbeth. These days I thrived in the call of these moments. Then there was a knock.
