Hell Hound Novels & Stories

A yelp came from within me, as I couldn’t hold back the burning sensation that took over my whole entire being from the bite, but the bite didn’t last for long, as the hellhound himself let of a yelp of his own, as he stumbled back from me, with my blood dripping from his mouth. My blood began to sizzle within his mouth, as he tried to spit it out, making a horrible gagging sound, as he tried to take a breath. What the hell was going on here, I asked myself as I watched the hellhound fall to the ground in front of me. His flesh began to smoke as if steam was coming from within him. Paralyzed and not able to move, the hellhound’s eyes moved to look at me, as the redness in them began to fade,

The guilt and desperation ate at him. He had to find her. Pushing himself up, Ryder called for a few of his spies who were the best tracker within the Shadowclaw Pack who reported directly to him as Alpha. These people instantly without hesitation or fail under threat of death orders could do anything so long as the price was right. "I need you to find someone,” Ryder said, his voice low and urgent as soon as the spies appeared that night in his study. “Her name is Hazel. She was banished from the pack months ago. I need to know where she is—exactly where she is.”

One of the hounds advanced with saliva dripping from its saw-toothed jaws. She shouldn't have been able to get past. The wards would have kept her at bay. Unless.... Morgana's laughter curled on the wind, low and scornful. "Nasir" Her voice coiled around my head like poison. Trinity's eyes darted to me and relief etched on her face "Nasir!" The hound attacked. I had not thought that my body had moved before my mind had caught up with it. One heartbeat I was on the ridge, the next I was crashing into the beast, shoving it away from her with a bellow that rang through the night.

The elder’s skeletal frame began to shift as he roared, “I’ll show you my true power!” He opened his skeletal jaws and began muttering a strange incantation. Adrian’s eyes narrowed with surprise as a rift opened in the void, and from it emerged another skeletal creature. “What… Is that a hellhound?” Adrian murmured. The creature, resembling a large, menacing dog, trembled with a terrible aura. Adrian recognized it instantly as a hellhound, a beast he had encountered before. The elder looked smug, though momentarily taken aback by Adrian’s recognition. “So you know what it is. That’s right, it’s a hellhound, and a signal that your end has arrived.”

“Hellhounds?” I ask, slowly, not sure if my hearing is working correctly. “What exactly are – I thought they were stories. I mean, aren’t they just myths?” I can hear the sounds of ripping flesh behind me and despite my identity as a wolf shifter along with the darker impulses it brings, the vicious tearing sounds from behind me make my blood curl. “Myths?” Their leader studies me. “Hellhounds are not myths. They are dangerous beasts. Intelligent and blood thirsty. They are also the best demonic trackers.”

Harry would check on me at least once a day, and proved to be the best friend in the world, always ready to drop whatever he was doing and help me out if Cake was busy and Brandon and I needed something. As for my paranormal loves, I would call Pennhurst every week, and Brett would go to Tinicum Hall to let me talk to Kujo. I couldn’t see him that well on the phone screen, but Brett assured he was big and strong and healthy. He was back to speaking only my name, but I couldn’t care less. I knew he understood me alright, and his lack of human-like treats meant he kept growing further away from his half-breed demon state.

My mate, Alex, had a childhood friend named Emily who was a healer. When she discovered that I was a highly sensitive person, she volunteered to put me through what she called 'desensitization therapy.' The first time, she told me I needed to learn to control my emotions, so she locked me in a noisy bar's storage room for an entire night. The second time, she said I needed to overcome my tactile sensitivity. She drenched me in ice-cold water and forced me to stand in the freezing wind for three hours. Alex was present every single time. Each time, he told her, "Thank you for all your hard work, Emily. I know how much you're doing for her." Then came the banquet, where she poured an enti

Oliver took a greedy gulp of water, set the glass down on my side table with a loud thud, and began pacing, his arms gesturing wildly with every word. "So, as you know, my esteemed uncle Lord Cella decided it was a fantastic idea to visit our estate for the Kreeds reception," Oliver began, his tone dripping with thick sarcasm. "He brought his entire entourage. Four carriages! Four! And do you know who he brought with him, Theo? His prized, newly acquired purebred Kreeds hound!" I blinked. "A hound?"

“You have been through Hell and back. There is no WORSE than what you have already experienced. He took your voice, broke your body numerous times… and lastly, mutilated you so that you will never forget the name Greyson Carter.” She didn’t say these things to hurt me. No, my wolf said this with love, to remind me that I had endured more than any woman should have to and that this… this was my moment. “Now get down that fucking hole!” she barked. My skeletal frame barely squeezed through the narrow opening. Had I attempted this at my normal weight, I never would have gotten past the initial rim. With weakened arms, I tried to lower myself, but I fell, falling straight into waist high sludge.
