The man who saved her wasn't in the room anymore, he must have gone outside to wait, Ava is escorted by the two men in suit who she assumes to be his escorts outside where she see one Limousin and a BMW behind it.

I said, leading Amara to laugh. "What's so amusing?" I inquired. "Oh, nothing," said Amara with a curious smile. "Have you come across any wild animals in the jungle? I'm curious about the creatures that lurk out there," I said. "The West Gate is known as the gate to hell, where all sorts of terrifying creatures dwell on the other side," she cautioned. "What if they break through the gate, and Vera takes credit for it in order to assert her power?" I made an educated guess.
